Nine of these 18 cows (5 + 4 individuals for each lactation stage, respectively) were placed in the MO group and fed with MOLP at 0.3% of partial mixed ration (PMR) dry matter (DM) for 3 weeks, while the other nine represented the control group and were not fed any MOLP supplementation.

Recent data from our group demonstrated that small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) isolated from the plasma of LTx recipients with BOS have reduced levels of tumor suppressor gene liver kinase B1 (LKB1) and promote epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and fibrosis. Here, we hypothesized that early inflammatory responses associated with severe PGD (PGD2/3) can downregulate LKB1 levels in sEVs, predisposing to the development of chronic lung allograft dysfunction (CLAD).
