Background And Aims: Cholecystectomy (CCY) is considered the gold standard intervention for acute cholecystitis (AC). However, endoscopic ultrasound-guided gallbladder drainage (EUS-GBD) can be performed in patients unfit for surgery. Interval CCY after EUS-GBD is typically not performed as the formation of cholecystoenteric fistula increases the technical complexity of CCY.

Leveraging patient preferences can improve patient satisfaction and engagement in intentional health services. We explored desired health services preferences of marginalized populations accessing HIV-related care engagement to inform the implementation of an HIV prevention and treatment mobile clinic model. We conducted a maximum-difference survey with 154 people at community events and homeless encampments in Oakland, CA.

Measurement Invariance and Convergent Validity of the Psychopathy Checklist: Screening Version (PCL:SV) Across New Zealand Māori and European Samples.

The present study examined the psychometric properties of the Hare Psychopathy Checklist: Screening Version (PCL:SV; Hart et al., 1995) in a sample of 514 male offenders in New Zealand; 333 identifying as Māori and 181 as NZ European. Correlational analysis showed convergent validity between PCL:SV Total, Factor and Facet scores and subscales of two dynamic item-based instruments used to monitor and manage people in prison or post-custody, although these relationships were stronger among NZ European compared to Māori men.

Multiple sclerosis is an inflammatory demyelinating condition of the central nervous system affecting approximately 1 million people in the USA. Although standard structural MRI techniques are now the main imaging modality for multiple sclerosis diagnosis and management, they are yet to provide information regarding the metabolic profile of the disease. Ultra-high field 7T MRI systems have provided gains in signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and spatial resolution for structural MRI as well as larger chemical shifts leading to improvements in specialized imaging sequences, such as nuclear Overhauser effect (NOE) imaging, that can evaluate macromolecular metabolite composition.
