In recent years, it has gained importance to determine the effects of diabetes on central nervous system complications. This study aimed to assess the neuroprotective properties of curcumin against neuronal damage in the rat hippocampus caused by diabetes. In accordance with this purpose, we investigated the effects of curcumin on oxidative/antioxidative parameters and pro-inflammatory cytokines in the hippocampal tissue of diabetic Wistar rats.

Background: Restorative materials are in prolonged contact with living tissues such as oral mucosa, dentin, pulp, periodontal, and periapical tissues. Therefore, the potentially harmful effects of these materials and their components on oral tissues should be evaluated before clinical use. This study aimed to compare the cell viability of different adhesive systems (ASs) on human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSCs).

Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the effects of two desensitizers and the Er,Cr:YSGG laser on human dentin tubules, applied alone or in combination.

Methods: Ninety-six dentin specimens were obtained from extracted third molars and divided into six groups: Group 1: no-treatment (Control); Group 2: nano-hydroxyapatite desensitizer (NhapD); Group 3: NhapD+Er,Cr:YSGG laser (L); Group 4: Er,Cr:YSGG laser (L); Group 5: glutaraldehyde desensitizer (GD); and Group 6: GD+L, respectively. All specimens were evaluated using scanning electron microscopy.

This in-vitro study aimed to evaluate the fracture strength (FS; N) of composite, feldspathic, and glass-ceramic computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) endocrowns after thermomechanical aging. Seventy non-carious human molars were randomly divided into seven groups, according to the CAD/CAM material used for endocrown fabrication. Intact molars without cavity preparations were used as control (n = 10).

This study was aimed at investigating the effects of vitamin A (VITA), vitamin E (VITE), and combined β-carotene plus vitamin E (βCAR+VITE) injections on some fertility parameters in ewes. Estrus synchronization was performed by treating the ewes with intravaginal FGA sponges impregnated with 30 mg of fluorogestone acetate. On the days of the insertion and withdrawal of the intravaginal sponges, groups VITA, VITE, and βCAR+VITE were administered with 500 000 IU of vitamin A, 50 mg of vitamin E, and a combination of β-carotene plus vitamin E, respectively.
