Flecainide-Induced Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome: A Case Report.

Flecainide is an antiarrhythmic drug that rarely causes lung injury. We present a case of flecainide-induced lung injury (FILI) that resulted in acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and resolved after flecainide discontinuation and corticosteroid treatment. FILI has been shown to occur days to two years after treatment initiation.

Novel "All in 4-4-4" Hybrid Prosthesis: Bridging the Affordability Gap.

A strong body of scientific evidence indicates that a four dental implant-supported prosthesis is well suited for a full-arch rehabilitation. Yet, countless edentulous patients who could benefit from this established concept are left untreated because of high costs. This article describes a novel workflow that enables the fabrication of a metal-resin fixed hybrid prosthesis supported on four implants, with a variable cost for parts and material of around $400 and a (laboratory) production time of approximately 4 hours.

Australian and Canadian financial wellbeing policy landscape during COVID-19: An equity-informed policy scan.

Background: This targeted and comprehensive policy scan examined how different levels of governments in Australia and Canada responded to the financial crisis brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. We mapped the types of early policy responses addressing financial strain and promoting financial wellbeing. We also examined their equity considerations.

Background: Rapid, strategic action is required to mitigate the negative and unequal impact of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic on the financial well-being (FWB) of global populations. Personal financial strain (FS) worsened most significantly among systematically excluded groups. Targeted government- and community-led initiatives are needed to address these inequities.
