Objectives: To evaluate the tolerability of crovalimab versus eculizumab in C5 inhibitor (C5i)-naive and -experienced patients with PNH from COMMODORE 2, 3 and 1 (NCT04434092, NCT04654468 and NCT04432584).

Methods: Pooled safety data were assessed in the total crovalimab and eculizumab populations and by C5i-naive versus C5i-switched status in patients receiving crovalimab. Analyses include 6.

An efficient catalytic borylation reaction of aryl bromides in water based on Pd catalysis under micellar conditions is presented. The peculiar combination of the proper Pd precursor with a Sphos ligand and a hindered lipophilic base ensures good yields in the synthesis of a wide range of boronic esters, even for heteroaryl derivatives with a good purity profile. The method is specifically developed for the preparation of boronic esters that are directly converted into examples of relevant active pharmaceutical ingredient intermediates through cross-coupling reactions or via oxidation to phenols.

Background: Patients with lichen planus (LP) refractory to available therapies often experience a high disease burden, representing a population with a clear unmet need for new treatments.

Objectives: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of secukinumab 300 mg over 32 weeks in adult patients with biopsy-proven cutaneous LP (CLP), mucosal LP (MLP) or lichen planopilaris (LPP) that is inadequately controlled by topical corticosteroids.

Methods: PRELUDE was a randomized double-blind placebo-controlled phase II proof-of-concept study that enrolled patients with CLP, MLP or LPP.

A wide range of platinum(0)-η-()-1,2-ditosylethene complexes bearing isocyanide, phosphine and -heterocyclic carbene ancillary ligands have been prepared with high yields and selectivity. All the novel products underwent thorough characterization using spectroscopic techniques, including NMR and FT-IR analyses. Additionally, for some compounds, the solid-state structures were elucidated through X-ray diffractometry.

Introduction: Lichen planus (LP) is an inflammatory skin disorder that can present in various forms across the body, including lesions on the skin (cutaneous LP [CLP]), scalp (lichen planopilaris [LPP]) and mucosal regions (mucosal LP [MLP]). Several existing patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) were identified for potential use in LP clinical development programs. This study aimed to assess the content validity and psychometric measurement properties of the Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI), Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS), Scalpdex and Oral Lichen Planus Symptom Severity Measure (OLPSSM) in an LP population.
