One-third of the world population suffer from kidney complications such as acute and chronic renal failure, renal calculi, kidney stones, Fanconi's syndrome and urethritis which doesn't have a proper effective treatment regimen. The current study explores the nephroprotective effect of herbal drug by both and methods. MTT assay was applied to evaluate the nephroprotective effect of leaves extract on HEK 293 cell line.

Materials And Methods: Cardiac CT angiographic examinations from 100 patients (mean age, 67 years ± 17 [standard deviation]; 60 men) performed between June 2012 and June 2018 with semantic segmentations of the left ventricular (LV) and left atrial (LA) blood pools at the end-diastolic and end-systolic cardiac phases were retrospectively evaluated. Image quality (root mean square error [RMSE]) and segmentation fidelity (global Dice and border Dice coefficients) metrics of the octree representation were compared with spatial downsampling for a range of memory footprints.
Hyperferritinemia is associated with poor outcomes in critically ill patients with sepsis, hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), macrophage activation syndromes (MAS) and coronavirus disease 19 (COVID-19). Autopsies of hyperferritinemic patients that succumbed to either sepsis, HLH, MAS or COVID-19 have revealed disseminated microvascular thromboses with von Willebrand factor (VWF)-, platelets-, and/or fibrin-rich microthrombi. It is unknown whether high plasma ferritin concentration actively promotes microvascular thrombosis, or merely serves as a prognostic biomarker in these patients.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFActivation of T cells specific for insulin B chain amino acids 9 to 23 (B:9-23) is essential for the initiation of type 1 diabetes (T1D) in non-obese diabetic mice. We previously reported that peptide/MHC complexes containing optimized B:9-23 mimotopes can activate most insulin-reactive pathogenic T cells. A monoclonal antibody (mAb287) targeting these complexes prevented disease in 30-50% of treated animals (compared to 10% of animals given an isotype control).
