Salt stress is a vital environmental stress that severely limits plant growth and productivity. Prohexadione-calcium (Pro-Ca) has been extensively studied to regulate plant growth, development, and stress responses. However, the constructive role of Pro-Ca in alleviating damages and enhancing rice tillers' morph-physiological characteristics under salt stress remains largely unknown.

Ricin toxin (RT) is a potential bioterrorism agent because of its high potency, extremely small lethal dose, ease of preparation, and notable stability. Therefore, a portable method is urgently required to efficiently detect and determine the presence of toxicity of RT and evaluate its potency for public health monitoring and counter-bioterrorism responses. Currently, enzyme-based assays for detecting RT mainly focus on its -glycosidase activity.

To investigate the feasibility and safety of endoscopic surgery for the treatment of primary hyperthyroidism with goiter. A total of 140 patients with primary hyperthyroidism and different degrees of thyroid enlargements were included who underwent endoscopic surgeries via a trans breast approach in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine from 2013 to 2023, including 137 females and 3 males, aged from 16 to 49 years old. Thirty-one cases had normal thyroid size, 25 cases had Grade Ⅰ enlargement, 56 cases had Grade Ⅱ enlargement, and 28 cases had Grade Ⅲ enlargement.

The integration of membrane separation with heterogeneous advanced oxidation processes is a prospective strategy for the elimination of contaminants during wastewater treatment. Fe-based catalysts and the green oxidant peracetic acid (PAA) are desirable candidates for the development of catalytic membranes because they are environmentally friendly. However, the construction of catalytic ceramic membranes (CMs) modified with efficient Fe-based catalysts that generate increased amounts of high-valent Fe-O species during PAA activation for the degradation of specific pollutants, especially during instantaneous membrane filtration, remains challenging.
