There is a paucity of patient-reported outcomes (PROs) data in lower extremity salvage. Limb salvage can often be achieved with the use of local muscle flaps or fasciocutaneous flaps. They exhibit a predilection for the face, cervical region, upper torso, and scalp, manifesting as firm, mobile nodules with a characteristic central punctum. Surgical excision is the recommended therapeutic approach for sizeable or recurrent cysts, particularly when they elicit discomfort or aesthetic concerns.

Background: Prior research has linked personal network characteristics with cancer screening uptake including Papanicolaou (Pap) screening, but less is known about the experiences of Black immigrant women (BIW) in the USA. We examined the relationship between network characteristics and Pap screening among BIW and explored how their network members influence their cancer related knowledge and prevention behaviors.
Methods: A mixed methods study of BIW, aged 21-65 years, in southeastern US included a cross-sectional survey (N = 204) and in-depth individual interviews (N = 13).
Medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ) refers to the condition where the maxillary or mandibular bone becomes exposed and necrotic as a result of bisphosphonate therapy. The number of patients on bisphosphonates is increasing and so are the MRONJ cases. Since the initial data were published in the early 2000s, research into MRONJ has expanded significantly to enhance the understanding of this emerging condition.
