Background & Objective: This systematic review evaluates the impact of guidelines on healthcare professionals' behavior and explores the resulting outcomes.
Methods: Using PRISMA methodology, Scopus and Web of Science databases were searched, yielding 624 results. After applying inclusion criteria, 67 articles were selected for in-depth analysis.
Background And Objective: Pelvic organ prolapse (POP) affects 40% of women, with a 12%-19% lifetime surgical risk. Italy showed high practice variation in POP surgery, possibly impacting equity of access to healthcare services, a central goal of Beveridge-like health systems. According to the literature, unwarranted variation, influenced by physician attitudes or resource allocation, must be reduced.

Epithelial cells damaged by microbial invaders release reparative proteins such as the Trefoil factor family (TFF) peptides that functionally restore barrier integrity. However, whether TFF peptides and their receptors also serve instructive roles for immune cell function during infection is incompletely understood.

The presence of enod40 genes in plants that do not form such symbioses indicates its other roles in cell physiology. The molecular mechanisms of enod40 RNA function are poorly understood.
