Transient blindness is an extremely rare complication of transurethral resection (TUR) syndrome, which is a well-known complication recognized by urologists and anesthesiologists. TUR syndrome arises from the intravascular absorption of hypotonic fluids during the procedure. In this case report, an 80-year-old male patient experienced transient blindness after undergoing transurethral resection of the prostate.

Objective: Macroprolactinemia is a well-described endocrine disorder, with its results leading to unnecessary tests and overtreatment. However, routine macroprolactin screening is not performed in many laboratories. Routinely used prolactin assays can result in false diagnosis of hyperprolactinemia in patients with no signs and symptoms related to hyperprolactinemia and clinicians should be aware of macroprolactinemia frequency encountered with the method in use.

The study's main goal was to compare the effects of a mobile application versus traditional methods of teaching on nursing students' acquisition of knowledge about pressure injury prevention. In addition, a secondary aim was to discover nursing students' viewpoints related to the advantages and disadvantages of using mobile applications as an educational method. A randomized controlled study design was implemented during November and December of 2023 in a nursing faculty with 60 undergraduate students in their second nursing year.
