In the absence of a medical birth registry, the official statistics are the only sources of information about pregnancy outcomes in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) (RS). We analysed the official statistical data about birth rate, fertility, infant and maternal mortality in the RS in the period 2003-2014. Compared with all-Russian data, the RS had a higher birth rate, especially in rural districts.

Premature birth is a serious problem of public health around the world owing to the high frequency of complications and perinatal losses. According to the WHO recommendations by gestation terms the premature birth divides into: super early premature birth (SEPB) in the term of 22-27 weeks, early PB in the term of 28-33 weeks and PB in the term of 34-37 weeks. Preterm born infants make 85%, and in the neonatal mortality structure make more than 55%.

Esophagectomy with simultaneous plasty in patient with esophageal cancer is still associated with a high incidence of postoperative complications and long-stay patient in the clinic. The purpose of our report is to inform the use of the program of accelerated rehabilitation after esophagectomy in a prospective study of 13 patients during the period from 2010 to 2011 year and the role of the anesthesiologist in its implementation. Methods aimed at the preoperative examination, minimally invasive surgery, thoracic epidural anesthesia/analgesia with local anesthetics as a component of anesthesia and postoperative analgesia, early extubation and mobilization of the patient with the implementation of breathing exercises, early enteral feeding, and the planned short postoperative stay in resuscitation and hospital were used.

A procedure has been developed for the use of semiconductor laser radiation in the combined drug therapy of patients with disseminated infiltrative pulmonary tuberculosis with multiple destructions and massive bacterial excretion, by increasing the number of sessions, which reduces the time of bacterial excretion cessation by 2-4 weeks, decay cavity closure by a months, and hospital treatment by 1.5 months and promotes minimal residual changes in most of them.

Social and epidemiologic features were studied in 1145 newly diagnosed tuberculosis patients in Yakutia who were on the dispensary record in the period between 1981 and 1990. Among the negative social and hygienic factors which aggravated the course of tuberculosis were unsatisfactory living and domestic conditions, failure in family life, unskilled hard labour, idle life, stay in the penitentiary-labour establishments and chronic alcoholism. To improve the effectiveness of dispensary follow-up and treatment of this category of patients measures should be taken aimed at the centralized epidemiologic control.
