Green-synthesised silver and zinc oxide nanoparticles from stingless bee honey: Morphological characterisation, antimicrobial action, and cytotoxic assessment.

This study investigated the green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs) and zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO-NPs) using an aqueous extract of stingless bee honey (SBH) as a reducing and stabilising agent. The rich compositions of SBH containing flavonoids, phenolics, organic acids, sugars, and enzymes makes the SBH extract an ideal biocompatible precursor for the NPs synthesis. Physicochemical characterisation of the synthesised NPs was performed using UV-Vis spectroscopy, FESEM, TEM, XRD, and FTIR spectroscopy.

Work intensity and fat mass percentage are associated with asymptomatic morphometric vertebral fractures in knee osteoarthritis patients: A cross-sectional study.

Knee osteoarthritis (OA) is a common condition with a prevalence of 365 million individuals globally, and it is an independent risk factor for falls and fractures, notably asymptomatic morphometric vertebral fractures (AMVF). The high prevalence of knee OA, the severity of AMVF, and their combined impacts on quality of life underscore the need for early detection, appropriate treatment and management. To address this, our cross-sectional study aims to identify potential predictive factors associated with AMVF in knee OA patients.

The objectives included synthesizing available evidence, assessing its quality, identifying potential sources of heterogeneity, and drawing conclusions regarding the association between wood dust and leukemia.

Methods: A systematic literature search was conducted to identify studies meeting that report on the association between wood dust and leukemia.

Methods: Scopus, Web of Science, SAGE, and Ovid were systematically searched using the keywords "maternal", "COVID-19 pandemic", "maternal health service", and "maternal perception".
