With acute hemic hypoxia a rise in the content of 2,3-diphosphoglycerate in the rat erythrocytes is rather pronounced. Under conditions of acute hypoxia (hyprobaric) hypoxia, with a less gravity of hypoxic affection the content is considerabley higher than in normalcy. Daily administration of the vitamin D preparations significant doses to animals causes a gradual rise in the level of 2,3-diphosphoglycerate in erythrocytes.
