Transperitoneal robot-assisted partial nephrectomy: a comparison of operative and oncological outcomes between posterior and anterolateral tumours.

Objective: To compare operative and oncological outcomes, as well as the risk of postoperative complications in patients who underwent transperitoneal robot-assisted partial nephrectomy (RAPN) for renal tumours located either posteriorly or anterolaterally.

Methods: Retrospective, consecutive study including 451 patients who underwent transperitoneal RAPN for non-metastatic, localised renal tumours from May 2016 to April 2023. Operative data included duration of the procedure, warm ischaemia time, and blood loss; oncological data included surgical margins and recurrence; and 90-day postoperative complications were classified according to the Clavien-Dindo classification.

Metastatic risk in clear cell renal cell carcinoma: a tool incorporating sex, size, and grade.

Objective: To identify predictors of metastases, estimate the proportion of metastatic clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) cases according to these predictors, and subsequently create a risk table showing the absolute difference in metastasis proportion for each 10 mm increase in tumour size.

Patients And Methods: Patients diagnosed with histopathological confirmed ccRCC in 2010-2018 in Denmark identified in the nationwide Danish Multidisciplinary Renal Cancer Group (DaRenCa) Study-3. Association between diagnostic variables and metastases were assessed with logistic regression analyses.

Recurrences and Subsequent Treatments After Curative-Intent Surgery for Localised and Locally Advanced Renal Cell Carcinoma.

Background: There is a lack of evidence concerning recurrent patterns and treatment of repeat recurrences for surgically treated renal cell carcinoma (RCC). Thus, the objective was to describe patterns of recurrences and subsequent treatments in patients with recurrent RCC.

Patients And Methods: We identified 525 patients who received surgical treatment for RCC at our institution in 2010-2015.

Recurrence patterns following nephrectomy for renal cell carcinoma in a Danish nationwide cohort.

Objectives: This study aimed to characterize the demographic and clinical features of patients with renal cell carcinoma (RCC) post-surgery for localized or locally advanced disease in a national Danish cohort, with a specific focus on describing recurrence patterns in a subgroup aligned with the adjuvant KEYNOTE-564 trial classification.

Methods: This was a retrospective analysis of the Danish Renal Cancer (DaRenCa) database. Eligible subjects were individuals with an RCC diagnosis between January 2014 and December 2017 who subsequently underwent radical or partial nephrectomy.
