Rapidly Progressive Interstitial Lung Disease With Pneumothorax and Pneumomediastinum Secondary to Amyopathic Dermatomyositis.

Amyopathic dermatomyositis is a rare form of dermatomyositis characterized by cutaneous lesions without clinical, biological, or histological muscular involvement. Pulmonary complications associated with this condition are diffuse interstitial lung disease (ILD), pneumomediastinum, and spontaneous pneumothorax. The form associated with anti-melanoma differentiation-associated protein 5 (anti-MDA-5) antibodies is reputed to have a poor prognosis and is responsible for ILD which can rapidly progress to fatal respiratory failure.

Association of Sweet's Syndrome and Behçet's Disease: Is It Possible? A Case Report.

Introduction: Behçet's disease is a systemic vasculitis characterized by a large clinical polymorphism with a particular frequency of cutaneous signs. Sweet's syndrome is a neutrophilic dermatosis marked by the sudden appearance of painful skin lesions in the form of erythematous papules, nodules or plaques. This syndrome is associated with high fever, neutrophilia and histologically a diffuse infiltrate of neutrophils in the dermis.

We report in this manuscript a case of newborn baby with asymptomatic form of congenital malaria; the screening of the peripheral blood smear of the baby after a positive result in the mother allowed the diagnosis. The authors were permitted through this case to discuss the therapeutic possibility in these cases.
