Background: Digital health significantly affects healthcare delivery. Moreover, empirical studies on the utilization of telehealth in Dubai are limited. Accordingly, this study examines the utilization of telehealth services in Dubai Health Authority (DHA) facilities and the factors associated with telehealth appointment completion and turnaround time.

Splenic abscess as a possible sequela of COVID-19: a case series.

Splenic abscess is an aggressive disease with a non-specific etiology and symptoms that are systemically detrimental. During the current COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a noted rise in the incidence of splenic abscesses. The aim of this article was to explore whether infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus increases the risk of developing splenic abscesses.

Gastric Remnant Perforation Caused by Peterson's Hernia Following One Anastomosis Gastric Bypass: a Rare Complication.

Introduction: One anastomosis gastric bypass (OAGB) has gained popularity over the recent years; it appears to be an effective bariatric procedure with acceptable weight loss, co-morbidity resolution, and complication rates in the short and medium term. However, it still continues to have concerns in the bariatric community due to a spectrum of potential complications. To our knowledge, there are few published cases of internal hernia, but no published reports of gastric remnant perforation following OAGB.

Extended-spectrum β-lactamase-producing Enterobacteriaceae: in vitro susceptibility to fosfomycin, nitrofurantoin and tigecycline.

Objective: To assess the susceptibility trends of community-acquired extended-spectrum β-Iactamase (ESBL)-producing urinary isolates with particular reference to fosfomycin, nitrofurantoin and tigecycline.

Materials And Methods: Seven hospitals across the United Arab Emirates participated in this study from June 2008 to March 2010. The antibiotic sensitivity of ESBL-producing uropathogens to a panel of antibiotics including tigecycline, fosfomycin and nitrofurantoin was assessed.
