Utility of hematological and inflammatory biomarkers in predicting recovery in critical Covid-19 patients: Our experience in the largest Covid-19 treating center in Lebanon.

Background: COVID-19 pandemic has led to a catastrophic shortage of ICU beds. This has resulted in the need to identify patients that can be discharged early before full clinical recovery. We designed this study to determine if in changes routine tests like CBCD and CRP can be a useful complement to clinical status when deciding to discharge patients from ICU.

Trastuzumab Targeted Neratinib Loaded Poly-Amidoamine Dendrimer Nanocapsules for Breast Cancer Therapy.

Background: Human epidermal growth factor receptor2 (Her2) positive breast cancer represents 25% of breast cancer cases. Targeted therapy with Her2 monoclonal antibody, trastuzumab (TZ), represents the first-line treatment for this type of breast cancer. In addition, neratinib, an irreversible inhibitor of the HER-2 receptor tyrosine kinase, has recently been approved as adjuvant therapy to TZ.

[Surgical treatment of hydrocele--modern aspects].

Basically no one has ever introduced into practice any better procedure in cases of hydrocele than those of Winkelmann and Bergman. We recommend always a resection of the covering sheets of the testis as a profilactic measure against recurrency. Our study included 192 patients with hydrocele who were operated during the period 2000-2001 in the Clinic of Urology, Medical University of Sofia.

[Intraoperative effect of preoperative embolization of the renal artery in patients with kidney carcinoma].

Aim of the embolization of the renal artery is to provoke ischemia or shut out from blood supply of the kidney tissue including pathologically changed area. As a result of this procedure the affected kidney becomes suitable for surgical removal without significant loss of blood. In this study there are included 116 nephrectomies due to kidney carcinoma.
