The urinary and serum levels of vitamins B1, B2, B3, A, E, and C were analyzed in 300 children aged 2 to 7 years, who lived in the Orenburg Regions areas having a varying oxidative load. The most severe deficiency of vitamins was observed in the children residing in the regional area characterized by the highest oxidative load.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFAim: To describe clinicofunctional features of essential and pulmogenic hypertension in chronic bronchoobstructive syndrome, 24-h profile of arterial pressure (AP), intracardiac hemodynamics and to propose differential diagnostic criteria for these hypertension forms.
Materials And Methods: 24-h monitoring of arterial pressure (MAP), cardiohemodynamics, external respiration function (ERF) and blood gases examinations were made in 100 hypertensive subjects with chronic obstructive bronchitis and bronchial asthma.
Results: Significant differences were found between the groups of essential and pulmogenic hypertension by major values of MAP, echo-CG and ERF.
Activities of N-acetyl-beta-D-hexosaminidase, beta-D-galactosidase, alpha-D-mannosidase and alpha-L-fucosidase were studied in granulocytes and agranulocytes of human blood. Hexosaminidase exhibited the highest activity in the both leukocyte fractions. At the same time, activities of hexosaminidase and galactosidase were higher in a granulocytes.
