Gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) have emerged as promising candidates for cancer therapy due to their unique physicochemical properties and biocompatibility. In this study, we investigate the synthesis, characterization, and therapeutic potential of AuNPs in breast cancer treatment. Further, it establishes a comprehensive understanding of the mechanisms by which AuNPs suppress angiogenesis and breast cancer growth, identifying novel targets and signaling nodes contributing to the anti-tumor effects of AuNPs.

Vancomycin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus endangers Egyptian dairy herds.

The emergence of pandrug-resistant (PDR) and extensive drug-resistant (XDR) methicillin-resistant and vancomycin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA and VRSA) isolates from bovine milk samples along with biofilm formation ability and harboring various virulence genes complicates the treatment of bovine mastitis and highlights the serious threat to public health. This study investigated for the first time the frequency, antimicrobial resistance profiles, biofilm-forming ability, virulence factors, spa and staphylococcal cassette chromosome mec (SCCmec) types of MRSA and VRSA isolated from clinical and subclinical bovine mastitis in Egypt. A total of 808 milk samples were collected from each quarter of 202 dairy animals, including 31 buffaloes and 171 cattle.

Do Routine Postoperative Radiographs Influence the Management of Distal Radius Fractures Following Volar Locking Plate Fixation?

Background: Distal radius fractures (DRFs) are a common orthopaedic injury, often requiring surgical intervention. Routine postoperative radiographs are frequently obtained after surgical fixation to ensure adequacy of fixation and rule out early complications, yet their necessity remains unclear. Through this study, we tried to evaluate the impact of routine postoperative radiographs on the management of DRFs.

A Review on Educational Intervention Approaches on Cancer Knowledge and Awareness in Quasi-Experimental Studies.

Cancer is a highly prevalent noncommunicable disease with low levels of awareness among the general public, as reported in numerous studies worldwide. Given the daunting nature of cancer, poor knowledge and awareness levels of this disease with regard to its warning signs, risk factors, and the importance of cancer screening among the public may lead to unfavorable health-related outcomes, such as delayed diagnosis and treatment initiation. However, there is potential to tackle this issue with properly designed health educational interventions.
