[Associations of hemostasis factors genes with early development of ischemic heart disease and manifestation of myocardial infarction in young age].

Aim: To study polymorphisms of genes of factors of the system of hemostasis in young patients with ischemic heart disease (IHD).

Material: Two groups of patients participated in the study: patients with first manifestation of IHD at the age < or = 50 years (men) or < or = 55 years (women) (n=158), and patients with first IHD manifestation at the age > or = 70 years (n=92).

Methods: We studied polymorphic markers of genes encoding clotting factors V (F5) and VII (F7), subunit IIIa of platelet integrin (ITGB3), beta-chain of fibrinogen (FGB) and tissue plasminogen activator type 1 (PLANH1).

[Tuberculosis in the staff of health care facilities in the students of medical educational establishments: clinical and social aspects].

A total of 199 cases of tuberculosis were analyzed in medical workers. The age-sex-specific, professional and clinical structure of patients is presented. The predictors of the disease are revealed.

Multicentre evaluation of KONE Optima analysis system.

Optima from KONE Instruments Corporation is a new selective laboratory analyzer for turbidimetric, colorimetric and ion selective electrode measurements. Overall analytical performance of Optima and reagents provided by KONE was evaluated according to ECCLS guidelines, in a multicentre study involving four different laboratories, including substrates (cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol, creatinine), specific proteins (transferrin, IgG), enzyme activities (gamma-glutamyltransferase, alanine aminotransferase) and electrolytes (sodium, potassium, chloride). The results obtained attest good precision of the system for all the analytes tested: the range of within-run CV is 0.

[An automated biochemical laboratory. Prospective development].

A new Biolab information and computing system is intended for data processing from automated equipment for biochemical laboratory analysis; it is integrated with other subsystems of a large medical information system of a multidiscipline hospital. In technological characteristics and information volume processed the Biolab subsystem is much superior to the previous Laboratoriya subsystem.
