Cannabis and Pregnancy.

Purpose Of Review: We review recent evidence describing the effects of prenatal exposure to cannabis in pregnant individuals.

Recent Findings: In the context of changing cannabis policy, more pregnant individuals are using cannabis, despite profound risks. Recent studies show possible perinatal and longitudinal neurodevelopment risks associated with cannabis use during pregnancy and lactation.

Project ECHO in Psychiatric Workforce Development: the Example of a Perinatal Mental Health ECHO.

Objective: Perinatal mental health and substance use disorders (PMHSUD) often go unrecognized and untreated. This study examined the use of the Project ECHO model to teach obstetric, primary care, and mental health clinicians about screening, diagnosis, and treatment of PMHSUD.

Methods: Participants in 3 years of the University of Washington's Moms' Access Project (MAP) ECHO program (2019-2022) completed pre- and post-program surveys.

Unlabelled: The use of immediate implantation (directly into the extracted tooth socket) in the aesthetic zone is a rather difficult task due to the specific structural features of the bone tissue of the alveolar processes and parts of the jaw. was to develop and evaluate the efficacy of the new method of immediate implantation during restoration of teeth in the anterior part of the jaw with bone deficiency, which allows obtaining a high aesthetic result.

Materials And Methods: The clinical study involved patients with partially edentulous anterior maxillae, chronic apical periodontitis and dental root fractures in the absence of possibility to restore these teeth with orthopedic structures.

Anti-Biofilm Activity of Polyazolidinammonium Modified with Iodine Hydrate Ions against Microbial Biofilms of Uropathogenic Coliform Bacteria.

The dynamics of microbial biofilm formation by standard strain and by clinical strains of uropathogenic coliform bacteria was investigated in vitro and the effect of sublethal concentrations of the polymer compound polyazolidinammonium modified with iodine hydrate ions on the initial stages of biofilm formation was assessed. Treatment of immunological plate wells with the polymeric compound prevented film formation, especially in case of clinical E. coli strain carrying FimH virulence gene.

A Pathway to Freedom: An Evaluation of Screening Tools for the Identification of Trafficking Victims.

Objectives: Because training residents and faculty to identify human trafficking victims is a major public health priority, the authors review existing assessment tools.

Methods: PubMed and Google were searched using combinations of search terms including human, trafficking, sex, labor, screening, identification, and tool.

Results: Nine screening tools that met the inclusion criteria were found.
