Purpose: To describe a case of bilateral retinitis in a patient with endocarditis and a serologically confirmed Q fever.
Methods: A single case report documented with multimodal imaging.
Results: A 55-year-old patient with culture-negative endocarditis was referred to our department for an ocular examination.
Purpose: To describe retinal and choroidal vascular changes following an exercise stress test (ET) in patients with effort angina and to determine whether optical coherence tomography angiography (OCT-A) could play a role in the prediction of ischemic cardiac events.
Methods: Prospective comparative study including patients with effort angina. All patients underwent OCT-A before and after an ET was performed.
Aims: Access to echocardiography is a significant barrier to heart failure (HF) care in many low- and middle-income countries. In this study, we hypothesized that an artificial intelligence (AI)-enhanced point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) device could enable the detection of cardiac dysfunction by nurses in Tunisia.
Methods And Results: This CUMIN study was a prospective feasibility pilot assessing the diagnostic accuracy of home-based AI-POCUS for HF conducted by novice nurses compared with conventional clinic-based transthoracic echocardiography (TTE).
Introduction: Debriefing is the fundamental step in the learning process when teaching by simulation. The Debriefing Assessment for Simulation in Healthcare (DASH) guide is a tool designed to assess and develop the debriefing skills of trainers using healthcare simulation.
Aim: To evaluate the debriefing in high-fidelity mannequin simulation in the management of cardiological emergency by the DASH tool, student version.
Introduction: Post-infarction ventricular septal defect (PIVSD) is one of the most serious mechanical complications of acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Over the last decade, percutaneous closure is increasingly undertaken, with results similar to cardiac surgery. We present a case of ST-elevated anterior AMI, complicated by apical PIVSD successfully treated with transcatheter closure.

However, the risk of post-injection nephrotoxicity of ICM is significantly higher in patients with underlying nephropathy. This study aimed to determine the incidence of Contrast Media Induced Nephropathy (CMIN) and identify predictive factors for its occurrence in patients from a cardiology department.

The practice of this religious duty causes marked changes in eating and sleeping habits. With the increasing incidence of cardiovascular (CV) risk factors, the number of patients with CV pathologies who wish to fast is increasing worldwide, and in Tunisia, which is ranked as a high CV risk country.

Objective: This study will provide us an overview of hypertension (HTN) management in Tunisia and the degree of adherence of practitioners to international recommendations.
Methods: This is a national observational cross-sectional multicenter study that will include patients older than 18 years with HTN for a duration of 4 weeks, managed in the public sector from primary and secondary care centers as well as patients managed in the private sector.
Background: Hypertension is the leading cause of morbi-mortality in our country. Thus, we conducted this national survey on hypertension to analyze the profile of the Tunisian hypertensive patient and to assess the level of blood pressure control.
Methods: Nature HTN is an observational multicentric survey, including hypertensive individuals and consulting their doctors during the period of the study.
Alveolar hemorrhage (AH) is a heterogeneous clinical syndrome with a high mortality rate, characterized by extensive bleeding into the alveolar spaces. AH secondary to systemic thrombolysis treatment in the setting of acute myocardial infarction is an uncommon complication, but potentially fatal and can lead to acute respiratory failure. This entity is rarely reported in the literature.

Previous studies have shown that the incidence of ventricular arrhythmia and sudden cardiac death (SCD) is higher in patients with BD than in the healthy population. Among various possible explanations, autonomic nervous system (ANS) dysfunction has been suggested.

Mediastinal and pericardial hydatid cysts are very rare even in endemic areas and true incidence has not been described in the literature.

Gamification is an innovative educational pedagogical method that stimulates the pleasure of learning and encourages learner motivation.
Aim: To evaluate the subjective and external motivations and academic self-efficacy of DCEM1 students by playing with TD sessions designed to learn the systematic interpretation of rhythm disorders on surface ECGs using playing cards.
Background: Simulation allows learning in action, reflection and feedback. All these factors suggest the positive contribution of the simulation to the development of clinical reasoning. The main assessment tool for standardized testing of this skill is the script matching test.

This consensus document is written by a multidisciplinary working group involving rhythmologists, interventional cardiologists, echocardiographists and radiologists. Its objective is to establish good practice recommendations to optimize the management of patients with cardiac devices requiring MRI examination, while ensuring their safety and facilitating their access to MRI.

Effective serious games attempt to form positive mood in order to encourage players to continue the play, leading to increased interest in gameplay and satisfaction as well as better academic performances.
Aim: To determine the medical students' satisfaction, situational and individual interest during a serious game.
Introduction: The impact of technology in education has led to various changes in the way that different stakeholders, like students and teachers work and interact with each other. The use of the serious game design in educational contexts has been related to the development of the 21st century skills such as communication, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking.
Aim: To analyze a serious game design process by third -year medical students, from the perspective of the 21st century competencies engaged in the game design process.
Introduction: Left atrial function in non-ischemic dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM) has long been underestimated when studying the ultrasound parameters of DCM. Currently, several ultrasound parameters of left atrial function have been proposed as markers to detect patients at risk.
Aim: To evaluate the left atriumfunctionwith 2D speckle tracking echocardiography and itsprognostic value in the dilatedcardiomyopathy.
Aim: The relationship between type 1 diabetes (T1DM) and cardiac function in children is not well established. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether children and adolescents with T1DM present early asymptomatic abnormalities of left ventricular (LV) and right ventricular (RV) function. In addition, we evaluated the relationship of any such abnormalities with glycemic control and diabetes duration.

Its role in the prognosis after a myocardial infarction has not been validated to date.
Aim: To evaluate the prognostic value of ST2 for in-hospital morbidity and mortality after myocardial infarction.
