Background: Pre-hospital incidents involving pediatric and neonatal patients are infrequent, and clinical characteristics and care for these patients differ from the adult population. Lack of knowledge, guidelines, and experience can make pre-hospital pediatric care challenging, and there is limited research on the epidemiology and best practice of care for this population. We examined the pre-hospital pediatric population in the county of Sør-Trøndelag, Norway, to improve our understanding of this population in our region.

Here we report the formation, stability, and catalytic activity of a 5'-truncated promoter region G-triplex, c-MYC-G3. Through circular dichroism, we demonstrated that c-MYC-G3 adopts a stable, parallel-stranded G-triplex conformation.

Contributing factors include a high frequency of late-stage diagnosis, the development of chemoresistance, and the evasion of host immune responses. Currently, debulking surgery and platinum-based chemotherapy are the treatment cornerstones, although recurrence is common.

These were used to determine peri-anaesthetic morbidity and mortality.
Clinical Findings And Outcome: Two hundred and forty-three anaesthetic episodes were recorded in horses undergoing low-field MRI.
We previously demonstrated the antitumor effectiveness of transiently T cell receptor (TCR)-redirected T cells recognizing a frameshift mutation in transforming growth factor beta receptor 2. We here describe a clinical protocol using mRNA TCR-modified T cells to treat a patient with progressive, treatment-resistant metastatic microsatellite instability-high (MSI-H) colorectal cancer. Following 12 escalating doses of autologous T cells electroporated with in-vitro-transcribed Radium-1 TCR mRNA, we assessed T cell cytotoxicity, phenotype, and cytokine production.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAim: Few studies have addressed how children and adolescents with traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) access health care and educational services. This study aimed to investigate the course of symptoms during the first two years after TBI, whether symptoms implied a need for health care and/or educational services, and the extent of unmet needs. The association between unmet needs and health-related quality of life was also explored.

Therefore, it is critical to protect our valuable assets in space and build resiliency in the space environment. In recent years, we have developed a novel approach to Space Situational Awareness (SSA), in the form of a low-resolution, Wide Field-of-View (WFOV) camera payload for attitude determination and Resident Space Object (RSO) detection.

One explanation could be the changes in the way adolescents socialize and use of social media. We explored the relationship between past year self-harm and time spent on social media, employing data from a nationwide cross-sectional survey among students in grades 8 through 11 in Norway (N = 37,268).
View Article and Find Full Text PDFOsteosarcoma (OS) remains a dismal malignancy in children and young adults, with poor outcome for metastatic and recurrent disease. Immunotherapies in OS are not as promising as in some other cancer types due to intra-tumor heterogeneity and considerable off-target expression of the potentially targetable proteins. Here we show that chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells could successfully target an isoform of alkaline phosphatase, ALPL-1, which is highly and specifically expressed in primary and metastatic OS.

We aimed to compare the symptoms, recovery and service use of children with TBIs and a control group with other traumatic injuries.
Methods: This case-control study was conducted at Oslo University Hospital, Norway, from 2015 to 2020.
Background: Considerable concern is raised as to whether the pandemic has led to an increase in violence and sexual abuse against children.
Objective: The present study objective is to provide rates of violence and sexual abuse against adolescents the year before the pandemic compared to one year into the pandemic.
Participants And Setting: Two samples of Norwegian 12-16-year-olds were approached.
Adolescents exposed to child maltreatment are at increased risk for various somatic symptoms, but which psychological factors that contribute to this relationship need to be further investigated. Emotion dysregulation is suggested to serve as a proximal link between child maltreatment and somatic complaints. The purpose of the present study was to investigate whether individual differences in affective inhibitory control, a central component in implicit emotion regulation, contribute to the risk of somatic symptoms in adolescents exposed to child maltreatment.

An important step in efficacy testing is the in vivo study, most often using immunodeficient murine models into which both the poison and the cure are injected; namely a human cancer cell line and genetically modified human T cells. The capacity of the T cells to control the cancer progression will provide information about the CAR T-cell efficacy.

However, with increased marijuana availability, there is a greater potential for toxicosis in other species. Herein we describe a case of suspected marijuana toxicosis in a female and a male American Mammoth donkey, aged 8 y and 20 y, respectively, fed cannabis buds.
