Study on the Influence of Surfactant Solution on the Wetting and Chemical Structure Characteristics of Coal at Different Temperatures.

To reduce the production of dust in the coal mine production process, the surface tension and contact angle of the solution at different temperatures were measured, and the temperature range of the surfactant to achieve the best wetting effect during the coal seam water injection was determined. The results show that the surface tension and contact angle of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) and sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate (SDBS) and of SDS and polysorbate 80 (Tween80) decrease rapidly at first and then increase slowly with the increase of temperature, the minimum surface tension values were 26.293 and 27.

New Model for Coal Gas Diffusion Based on the Fractal Tree-Like Bifurcation Network Structure.

To investigate the nonstationary diffusion and transport law of gas in coal, an innovative fractal diffusion model based on fractal theory and a treelike bifurcation network under different diffusion modes were built. In addition, the quantitative relationships among the diffusion coefficient, temperature, pressure, and structural parameters were determined. The model considers the effect of pore tortuosity and connectivity on gas diffusion, which renders it more realistic than the previously presented single-pore diffusion models.
