Purpose: Incisional hernias (IH) after kidney transplantation (KTx) can cause significant morbidity in kidney transplant recipients (KTR). We aimed to report the outcomes of surgical repair of IH in KTR from our centre.
Methods: We retrospectively analysed all the IH repairs in KTR from May 2018 to May 2023.
Extrapolating data from early DCD (donation after circulatory death) kidney transplantation, pancreas transplants from DCD grafts were feared to have worse metabolic outcomes. Hence, we aimed to address the question of pancreas transplant alone (PTA) from DCD donors-are our concerns justified? A UK transplant registry analysis of 185 PTA performed between 2005 and 2018 was done. All early graft losses (<3 months) were excluded to allow focus on the metabolic outcomes (HbAc, weight gain and incidence of secondary diabetic macrovascular complications).

The sphere-shaped FeO nanoparticles were heterogeneously decorated by the Cts matrix, which was confirmed by powder X-ray diffraction, scanning and transmission electron microscopies. The Cts/FeO Nsps demonstrated 98% efficient photocatalytic activity against CR dye molecules upon 60 min exposure to visible light compared to FeO Nsps (77% for 60 min).

Methods: Retrospective analysis of 33 consecutive HMP kidney transplant outcomes matched with those of 33 cold stored: delayed graft function (DGF), length of hospital stay (LOS), estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR), and patient and graft survival were compared. Renal Resistive Indexes (RIs) during HMP in relation to DGF were also analysed.
