Background: Breast cancer remains the most frequently diagnosed cancer in female population worldwide. However, germline mutations are responsible for a small proportion of these cases. The aim of our study is to assess how germline mutations influence the management and outcome of these patients taken into consideration both their cancer diagnosis and genetic assessment.

Background: It is well-known that the uncertainty about the COVID-19 pandemic has an indirect negative impact on pregnant women's mental health, given the fact that pregnant women are more vulnerable emotionally and psychologically than non-pregnant women. The aim of this study was to evaluate the maternal psychological impact on Romanian women who were infected with SARS-CoV-2 during pregnancy and their concerns and to determine which are the best measures to prevent negative outcomes.

Methods: A 40-item questionnaire was created for data collection and was shared on social platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and also with obstetric communities between February 2021 and January 2023.

The study was undertaken to study the clinical and cancer outcomes.

Methods: Patients diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) or breast cancer who consented to undergo BCS with PBR with LCWPF were included in the study.

Follow-up after ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) treatment is a matter of debates and a strategy has not yet been adopted. Background: F-fluciclovine is a synthetic amino acid positron emission tomography (PET) radiotracer that is approved for use in prostate cancer. In this clinical study, we characterised the kinetic model best describing the uptake of F-fluciclovine in breast cancer and assessed differences in tracer kinetics and static parameters for different breast cancer receptor subtypes and tumour grades.

Methods: Thirty-nine patients with pathologically proven breast cancer underwent 20-min dynamic PET/computed tomography imaging following the administration of F-fluciclovine.

Sentinel Lymph node biopsy (SLNB) represents the standard approach in a newly diagnosed breast cancer for axillary staging in cases of clinical node negative. This represents a major prognostic factor and the biopsy of sentinel lymph node for early breast cancer is used as guidance in surgical and oncological treatment. Although for many decades, axillary lymph node dissection was the standard approach for breast cancer treatment and staging, this pathway was abandoned due to significant risk of lymphedema, infection, nerve and vessels injury or dysfunction of the shoulder.
