Hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) bubbles are of significant interest to micro-scale hydrogen storage thanks to their ability to confine hydrogen gas molecules. Previous reports of h-BN bubble creation from grown h-BN films require electron beams under vacuum, making integrating with other experimental setups for hydrogen production impractical. Therefore, in this study, the formation of h-BN bubbles is demonstrated in a 20 nm h-BN film grown on a sapphire substrate with a 213 nm UV laser beam.

The global transition towards sustainable automotive vehicles has driven the demand for energy-efficient internal combustion engines with advanced aftertreatment systems capable of reducing nitrogen oxides (NOx) and particulate matter (PM) emissions. This comprehensive review explores the latest advancements in aftertreatment technologies, focusing on the synergistic integration of in-cylinder combustion strategies, such as low-temperature combustion (LTC), with post-combustion purification systems. Selective catalytic reduction (SCR), lean NOx traps (LNT), and diesel particulate filters (DPF) are critically examined, highlighting novel catalyst formulations and system configurations that enhance low-temperature performance and durability.

Al-Li-Cu-Mg-Zr alloys are widely used in the aerospace industry for different applications and make an excellent concurrent to high-performance composites. This family of alloys has remarkable properties like low density, high elastic modulus, high strength and specific stiffness, fracture toughness, fatigue crack growth resistance, and improved corrosion resistance. The present work aims to investigate a family of Al-Li alloys by employing suitable characterization techniques such as computer-aided cooling curve analysis and thermal dilatometry to characterize the as-cast alloy.

Military applications and the aeronautic industry are increasingly interested in aluminum lithium alloys (Al-Li) because of the properties required due to the presence of Lithium, which provides a very considerable gain concerning the mechanical properties compared to conventional aluminum alloys. The research and development departments are interested in improving these alloys especially in additive manufacturing process, which leads today to focus on the 3rd generation of Al-Li in terms of part quality - low density compared to the 1st and the 2nd generation. The objectives of this paper is to present a review of Al-Li alloys applications, its carachetrization, the precipitations and their impact on mechanical properties and grain refinement.
