The national moroccan registry of ST-elevation myocardial infarction (MR-MI).

Background: MR-MI is the first national Moroccan ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) registry. Its objectives are to assess patient management modalities and highlight the clinical and therapeutic characteristics of this pathology in all cardiology centres on a national scale.

Methods: Adult patients presenting with STEMI within 5 days of symptoms onset were enrolled over a period of 18 weeks from April to August 2018.

Simultaneous acute myocardial infarction, bilateral pulmonary embolism, and acute ischaemic cerebral stroke, a delayed complication in a patient with COVID-19 infection: case report.

Background: The simultaneous occurrence of acute myocardial infarction, pulmonary embolism, and acute cerebral stroke is a rare concomitant finding that requires thorough aetiological investigation. Multiple reports note delayed COVID-19 arterial and venous thromboembolic complications. However, to the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of such a simultaneous finding after COVID-19.

Pulmonary alveolar hemorrhage mimicking a pneumopathy: a rare complication of dual antiplatelet therapy for ST elevation myocardial infarction.

Diffuse alveolar hemorrhage after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is a rare complication. The diagnosis is difficult and can mimic by clinical and radiological features other diagnosis as pneumopathy. We herein report the case of a 63-year-old female admitted to the hospital for ST elevation myocardial infarction.

Control of blood pressure and cardiovascular risk in Moroccan patients with newly diagnosed hypertension: a 3-month observational study in primary care.

Background: Control of blood pressure and reduction of cardiovascular risk factors are mandatory in patients with hypertension. The aim of this study was to determine the proportion of patients with controlled hypertension and to describe the cardiovascular risk profile in hypertensive patients followed by general practitioners (GPs) in Morocco.

Methods: This national, observational, multicentre, prospective, longitudinal study of patients with newly diagnosed hypertension was carried out between September 2011 and December 2011.

Silent embolization of an Amplatzer septal occluder into the left ventricular outflow tract requiring emergent surgical retrieval.

Percutaneous closure of secundum atrial septal defect is an established safe alternative to surgery with rare complications and high primary success rate. This procedure can be complicated by early or late device embolizations. We report an asymptomatic delayed nonobstructive embolization of an amplatzer septal occluder (ASO) into the left ventricle outflow tract detected by routine transthoracic echocardiography 1 week after implantation, which required emergent surgical retrieval in a stable patient.

A large aneurysm of a left sinus of Valsalva invading the interventricular septum--a rare cause of syncope.

Sinus of Valsalva aneurysms are uncommon, especially those in the left sinus of Valsalva. A case of a 45-year-old woman with syncope is presented. She was in complete heart block.
