The Wheel-Shaped Composite Cartilage Graft for Type 1 Tympanoplasty: Comparison with Palisade and Island Cartilage Graft.

This study aims to compare the graft success and hearing results of the palisade and island cartilage graft, with wheel-shaped composite cartilage graft (WsCCG) for type 1 tympanoplasty. The study was designed retrospectively. Only patients with conductive hearing loss and simple pars tensa perforation of the tympanic membrane were included in the study.

Prognostic value of F-FDG PET/CT parameters and histopathologic variables in head and neck cancer.

Introduction: F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography parameters such as; maximum standardized uptake values, standard metabolic tumor volume and otal lesion glycosis are important prognostic biomarkers in cancers.

Objective: To investigate the prognostic value of these parameters in patients with head and neck cancers.

Methods: We performed a retrospective study including 47 patients with head and neck cancer who underwentF-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography prior to treatment.
