Our aim is to determine the novel MAPH score (including age, mean platelet volume (MPV), total protein, and hematocrit parameters) that can distinguish APE subtypes.

The Effects of Lipopolysaccharide Derivatives in Rodent Models of Cardiac Arrhythmia.

Methods: In this study, the protective effect of lipopolysaccharide derivatives was also further investigated in drug (aconitine or ouabain)-induced arrhythmia models, and conclusions were drawn with particular emphasis on the molecular characteristics of different types of lipopolysaccharide.

Comparison of before and after COVID-19 urology practices of a pandemic hospital.

Objective: The aim of this study is to compare the effects of COVID-19 on urology practice using pre- and post-pandemic data of a pandemic hospital.

Rapid changes in the incidence of urinary system cancers in Turkey.

Estimation of national cancer incidence for major cancer sites in Turkey has been carried out by analyzing the data obtained from active cancer registry, and published regularly by Institute of Public Health of Ministry of Health. In the light of these statistics, the incidence of urinary cancers in both sexes and their age related distributions have been discussed, paying special attention to prostate, kidney and bladder cancers. The annual incidence of all cancer cases increased gradually, reaching to 221.

Impact of obesity on functional and oncological outcomes in radical perineal prostatectomy.

Introduction: We evaluated the impact of obesity on perioperative morbidity, functional, and oncological outcomes after radical perineal prostatectomy (RPP).

Methods: A total of 298 consecutive patients underwent RPP at our institution. Patients were categorized into 3 groups based on their body mass index (BMI): Normal weight <25 kg/m(2) (Group 1), overweight 25 to <30 kg/m(2) (Group 2), and obese ≥30 kg/m(2) (Group 3).

Intraoperative Evaluation of Ureteral Access Sheath-Related Injuries Using Post-Ureteroscopic Lesion Scale.

Objective: In the present study, intraoperative ureteral injuries inflicted during retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) with ureteral access sheath (UAS) use were evaluated using the Post- Ureteroscopic Lesion Scale (PULS).
