Pericardial effusion, commonly associated with malignancies such as lung, breast, and esophageal cancers through local extension, or leukemia, lymphoma, and melanoma via metastatic dissemination, is rarely observed in renal cell carcinoma (RCC). This report presents a rare case of a large loculated pericardial effusion in a 68-year-old male, potentially linked to RCC, who concurrently presented with an inferior wall ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). The patient, with a history of hypertension, hyperlipidemia, end-stage renal disease, coronary artery disease, and former smoking, exhibited symptoms including chest pain, diaphoresis, and shortness of breath, but no fever, chills, or night sweats.

Recent randomized clinical trials demonstrated that treatment with sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors (SGLT2is) reduces the risk of cardiac mortality due to sudden cardiac death and progressive pump failure in patients with heart failure (HF). Mechanisms underlying the potential anti-arrhythmic effects of SGLT2is are not well understood. Rarely, clozapine, an atypical antipsychotic drug used to treat resistant schizophrenia, has been reported to cause myocarditis, as we report in this case. Lead exposure has etiological role on cardiovascular system diseases as hypertension, atherosclerosis, stroke, and arrhythmic events. We aimed to assess the association of whole blood with thromboembolic milieu in significant mitral stenosis patients. We included 122 patients and classified patients into two groups as having thrombogenic milieu, thrombogenic milieu (+), otherwise patients without thrombogenic milieu, thrombogenic milieu (-). The frontal plane QRS-T [f(QRS-T)] angle, which is defined as the angle between the directions of ventricular depolarization (QRS-axis) and repolarization (T-axis), is a novel marker of ventricular repolarization heterogeneity. Aim: We aimed to investigate the association of estimated whole blood viscosity (WBV) with hemodynamic parameters and prognosis in patients with heart failure with reduced ejection fraction.

Materials & Methods: Total of 542 patients were included and followed-up for median 13 months.

Results: The WBV parameters had negative relationship with right atrium pressure and positive correlation with cardiac index.
