Introduction: In cases of suspected physical abuse (SPA) in children, a full skeletal survey is performed. Radiographers performing the survey may experience emotional challenges during the examination. The purpose of the study was to explore the emotional aspects of SPA imaging among radiographers and how they respond to potential challenges.

Introduction: In Denmark, there are no official guidelines on how to inform women about the risk of recall during mammography screening, leading to varied local practices. This study explored the experiences of radiographers at a Danish mammography screening unit and breast cancer assessment clinic communicating the risk of recall and false-positive results.
Methods: This study involved 12 weeks of ethnographic fieldwork over the course of one year, along with eleven semi-structured interviews with radiographers.

Introduction: Virtual reality (VR) simulation is a technology that empowers students and radiographers to practice radiography in a virtual environment that resembles real-life clinical scenarios. The purpose of this randomised study was to examine the relationship between clinical specialty and the ability to assess and obtain a lateral wrist radiograph using a VR simulator.
Methods: Radiographers and radiography students were recruited from the EFRS Research Hub at the 2024 European Congress of Radiology.

Background: Without increasing radiation exposure, ultralow-dose computed tomography (CT) of the chest provides improved diagnostic accuracy of radiological pneumonia diagnosis compared to a chest radiograph. Yet, radiologist resources to rapidly report the chest CTs are limited. This study aimed to assess the diagnostic accuracy of emergency clinicians' assessments of chest ultralow-dose CTs for community-acquired pneumonia using a radiologist's assessments as reference standard.

Method: An anthropomorphic phantom was scanned once with local abdominal CT protocols at 40 CT scanners, from four vendors, in thirty-three sites. Quantitative image quality was evaluated by CNR and SNR in the liver and kidney parenchyma.

Purpose: Endophytic renal cancer treatment is a challenge. Due to difficulties in endophytic tumor visualization during surgical extirpation, image-guided percutaneous cryoablation (PCA) is an attractive alternative. The minimally invasive nature of PCA makes it favorable for comorbid patients as well as patients in which surgery is contraindicated.

Also, healthcare professionals have embraced SoMe as a communication tool for both peers and patients. It is becoming an interactive tool for discussing professionals' issues and a place where learning and education occur.

Methods: Thirty-one healthy volunteers were examined with DWI using two different sets of b-values: b200-1500 s/mm (DWI, 1500) and b200-1000 s/mm (DWI, 1000). Each b-value set was scanned twice per imaging session without repositioning the participants.
Introduction: Complex interventional radiology procedures involve extensive fluoroscopy and image acquisition while staff are in-room. Monitoring occupational radiation dose is crucial in optimization. The purpose was to determine radiation doses received by staff involved in complex interventional procedures performed in a dedicated vascular or neuro intervention room.

Introduction: Justification is one of the fundamental principles in radiation protection and according to the ICRP, justification means that any decision that alters the radiation exposure situation should do more good than harm. The purpose of this study was to explore diagnostic radiographers' attitude towards their role in justification, and to assess the perceived need for justification discussions with peers and the ability to reject unjustified referrals during day, evening, and night shifts.
Methods: This study was conducted in Norway and Denmark.
Objectives: Computed tomography (CT) of the wrist may be challenged, due to patients' inability to extend the arm for a "Superman pose" resulting in increased radiation dose due to scatter. Alternative positions and less dose administering modalities such as 3D Cone-beam CT (CBCT) and single-shot CT could be considered. This phantom study aimed to estimate scatter radiation dose in different phantom positions using helical and single-shot CT and 3D CBCT.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate renal function after computed tomography-guided PCA. A retrospective cohort study including 259 patients treated with PCA at Odense University Hospital, Denmark from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2019.

Purpose: To compare radiation dose and image quality using standard and ULDCT protocols designed for a multicenter study encompassing three CT scanner models from GE, Canon, and Siemens.
Introduction: This study investigated how patients expected and experienced to be put first and cared for in diagnostic imaging settings and how putting the patient first was operationalized in practice.
Methods: A qualitative field study was conducted in two Danish hospitals to investigate patients' expectations and experiences of care and involvement during CT examinations. Data collection methods included semi-structured interviews and participant observations of five examination cases.
Introduction: Patient positioning may impact diagnostic quality when obtaining radiographs of the musculoskeletal (MSK) system. Hence, knowledge on patient positioning, as seen in the radiograph, followed by informed adjusted retake if appropriate, is key when undertaking MSK radiographs. Forearm positioning is particularly important in lateral wrist radiographs where rotation impacts anatomic measurements.

The modality is sensitive to tissue stiffness and fibrosis. Information about meningioma consistency prior to resection is of great interest in neurological surgery as the surgical plan and outcome may be affected by the tumor's stiffness.
