Background: Aztreonam/avibactam is being developed for its broad activity against carbapenemase-producing Enterobacterales, including those with metallo-β-lactamases (MBLs). Its potential to select resistance in target pathogens was explored. Findings are compared with previous data for ceftazidime/avibactam and ceftaroline/avibactam.

The patient underwent coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) that revealed three-vessel coronary artery disease (3VD). This case illustrates that in a patient with 3VD, planning and execution of coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) were successfully performed based solely on CCTA combined with fractional flow reserve derived from computed tomography angiography (FFR).

Aim of the study was to identify potential imaging features at CMR specific for LDAC diagnosis. Between January 2011 and December 2019, we enrolled 15 consecutive stable patients with a recent diagnosis of significant VA and ECG morphology consistent with a LV origin, detection of potential LV arrhythmic substrate at CMR and undergoing a clinically-indicated LV endomyocardial biopsy showing tissue abnormalities consistent with the diagnosis of LDAC.

Methods: SYNTAX III was a multicentre, international study that included patients with three-vessel CAD with or without left main disease. The heart teams were randomized to either assess coronary arteries with coronary CCTA or ICA.
Background Diffuse midline gliomas with the H3K27M mutation are now recognized as separate entities due to their unique molecular signature, clinical features, and adverse outcome. Objective To determine the morphological spectrum and survival rate of diffuse midline gliomas with H3K27M mutation. Material and methods This retrospective study was conducted between January 2015 and January 2021 at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre.

The aim of the study is to assess the feasibility and comparison of 2D-MSLGE reconstructed with artificial intelligence reconstruction deep learning noise reduction (NR) algorithm compared to standard 2D-SSLGE in consecutive patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy (ICM).
Methods: Fifty-seven patients with known ICM referred for a clinically indicated CMR were enrolled in this study.
An interlaboratory comparison study was conducted by the Vitamin D Standardization Program (VDSP) to assess the performance of ligand binding assays (Part 2) for the determination of serum total 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D]. Fifty single-donor samples were assigned target values for concentrations of 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D], 25-hydroxyvitamin D [25(OH)D], 3-epi-25-hydroxyvitamin D [3-epi-25(OH)D], and 24R,25-dihydroxyvitamin D [24R,25(OH)D] using isotope dilution liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (ID LC-MS/MS). VDSP Intercomparison Study 2 Part 2 includes results from 17 laboratories using 32 ligand binding assays.

High accuracy of CTA in detecting significant coronary stenosis has promoted CTA as a substitute for conventional invasive coronary angiography in patients with suspected coronary artery disease. In patients with coronary stenosis, CTA-derived physiological assessment is surrogate for intracoronary pressure and velocity wires, and renders possible decision-making about revascularization solely based on computed tomography.

The literature on prognosis from low-income or low-middle-income countries is limited and scarce. This study aimed to determine the clinical and histopathological characteristics, recurrence-free survival (RFS), overall survival (OS), and the factors affecting ACC's prognosis.

Methods: Thirty-five patients with AC histologically proven who performed CMR with late gadolinium enhancement (LGE) acquisition were enrolled. The study population was divided in Group1 (negative CMR TFC and LV ejection fraction≥55%) and Group2 (positive CMR TFC and/or LVEF<55%) and compared to an age and gender-matched control group.
Background: The difficulties encountered in surgical spermatozoa retrieval for intracytoplasmic sperm injection procedure in azoospermic men have stressed the dire need for a robust biomarker for the prediction of spermatozoa retrieval. Data have highlighted the role of JMJD1A (Jumonji domain-containing 1A), a histone H3K9 demethylase, and other nuclear proteins, protamines (PRM) and transition nuclear proteins (TNP), as biomarkers in male infertility.
Objective: To access successful spermatozoa retrieval at the time of intracytoplasmic sperm injection by evaluating the mRNA expression profile of JMJD1A, TNP, and PRM in testicular tissue.
(1) Objective: To review the criteria proposed by Cerero-Lapiedra et al. and to retrospectively identify the under-diagnosed disease in patients diagnosed with proliferative verrucous leukoplakia. (2) Materials and methods: In this study, we included patients who were diagnosed with leukoplakia (histological label consistent with the clinical diagnosis, = 95), and cases with a final diagnosis within the spectrum of proliferative verrucous leukoplakia ( = 110) as defined by Batsakis et al.
