The Surviving Sepsis Campaign has developed bundles that have been shown to reduce sepsis mortality. However, hospitals have not consistently adhered to these bundles, resulting in suboptimal outcomes.

We conducted a comprehensive review of 16 Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) encompassing 887 pediatric CML patients treated with TKIs including Imatinib, Dasatinib, and Nilotinib. The median patient age ranged from 6.

The objective of this study was to explore the potential for newly configured D-π-A type non-fullerene-based compounds. Quantum chemical methods were adopted and revealed the molecules as highly efficient materials with favorable NLO characteristics for use in optoelectronic devices.

Objective: The main objective of this research is to observe the various socio-economic, demographic, health-seeking, and environmental factors influencing infant mortality and the rural-urban division in Punjab, Pakistan.
Methods: The study used the data of 38,405 households from the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey that was conducted by the Bureau of Statistics Punjab during 2017-18. This survey assessed 125 indicators i.
Wind turbine power curve (WTPC) serves as an important tool for wind turbine condition monitoring and wind power forecasting. Due to complex environmental factors and technical issues of the wind turbines, there are many outliers and inconsistencies present in the recorded data, which cannot be removed through any pre-processing technique. However, the current WTPC models have limited ability to understand such complex relation between wind speed and wind power and have limited non-linear fitting ability, which limit their modelling accuracy.

Pakistan is facing difficulties of water shortage, low crops and livestock productivity, meagre livelihood, and intensive food insecurity. Hence, this study was conducted in Pakistan to explore the nexus of climate change, irrigation water, agriculture, rural livelihoods, and food security.

This study was conducted in Punjab, Pakistan, to explore the farmers' understanding of the impacts of climate change, adaptation strategies, determinants, and benefits on agriculture using data from 1080 respondents. Perceived risks by the farmers in the rice-wheat cropping system and the cotton-wheat cropping system were weed infestation, seed rate augmented, low-quality seeds, infestation of crop diseases and pests, change of cropping pattern, increase of input use, decrease of cropping intensity and productivity, decreasing soil fertility, increasing irrigation frequency, and increase of harvesting time.

This study is particularly important for Pakistan as it focuses on one of the main causes of infant mortality, diarrhea, which is a major challenge for Pakistan to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals to reduce infant mortality to 12/1000 live births by 2030.
Aim: This study was planned to investigate the various household, parental, environmental, and child-related factors causing diarrheal diseases in children aged 0-59 months in Punjab Pakistan.
This study aimed to determine the farmers' perceived impact of climate change on irrigation water and the adaptation measure adopted to mitigate its adverse effects. A binary logistic regression model was used to identified factors affecting the selection of adaptation measures. Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) was employed to compute the benefits of adaptation strategies.

Method: The quasi-experimental study was conducted from December 2020 to August 2021 at the public-sector Services Hospital, Lahore, Pakistan, and comprised head nurses and staff nurses enrolled through multistage cluster random sampling technique. Sixteen weeks of transformational leadership interventions were organised in morning and evening shifts.
Introduction: Patients with multiple comorbidities who have coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have high morbidity and mortality. Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency has been shown to have an enhanced effect on coronavirus in an earlier study.
Methods: We conducted this comparative observational study to evaluate the effects of COVID-19 disease on G6PD deficiency based on the hematologic parameters, COVID-19-related hospitalizations, and mortality in the state of Qatar between January 2020 and May 2020 at four designated COVID-19 facilities.
Platelets are acute-phase reactants, which can be elevated due to a secondary cause or less commonly because of a primary mechanism. Primary disorders include hematological conditions such as myelodysplastic syndrome, acute myeloid leukemia, chronic myeloid leukemia, polycythemia vera, and essential thrombocythemia (ET). Most ET patients have a mutation in the genes regulating thrombopoiesis, , , or genes.

While gastrointestinal (GI) manifestations either at presentation or during hospitalization are also common, their impact on clinical outcomes is controversial. Some studies have described worse outcomes in COVID-19 patients with GI symptoms, while others have shown either no association or a protective effect.

Common adverse reactions (>15%) in patients diagnosed with CP-CML include myelosuppression, fluid retention, and diarrhea. We report a 34-year-old Filipino female patient who received dasatinib as upfront therapy for the treatment of CP-CML who experienced chronic diarrhea for 2 months, which progressed to colitis.

According to one estimate, zinc supplementation is widely used in the USA by almost 37% of the elderly population above age 71. Zinc has perceived benefits of immune system enhancement without realizing the harmful effects when used in excess. One of its under-recognized side effects is hypocupremia or copper deficiency due to excessive gastrointestinal losses as excessive zinc in the gut competes with copper for absorption.

BACKGROUND Lurbinectedin (Lurbi) was first approved in June 2020 for metastatic small cell lung cancer (SCLC) patients with progression following platinum-based chemotherapy. Extrapulmonary small cell neuroendocrine cancers (SCNECs) are treated with regimens used for SCLCs. Tumor lysis syndrome (TLS) in solid SCLCs and SCNECs following Lurbi use has not been reported in the literature so far.
