Protecting health facilities during wars in the COVID-19 era: A case study of the Indonesian Hospital in the Gaza Strip in the Palestinian Territories.

This case study aimed at assessing the impact of the May 2021 War on medical personnel who worked during the coronavirus pandemic. This study was conducted at the Indonesian Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip. This case study included a sample of 391 participants.

Sheltering and quarantine measures for risks that threaten the village of Umm al-Nasr, Gaza Strip.

This study aimed to analyze the risks that affect the Umm al-Nasr village (north of Gaza Strip), which include wars, floods, and the Corona virus disease-19 (COVID-19) pandemic, which may require the emergency committee to identify places for sanitary isolation in the case of infection or provide shelters in the disasters such as wars and floods. A plan that contains procedures for managing the displacement of the citizens according to the type of the disaster and the suggested safe shelters were prepared. Individuals infected with COVID-19 are isolated in central places or their home.

Emergency management to avoid the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in Gaza Strip.

Gaza Strip is exposed to the danger of the novel coronavirus pandemic 'nCOVID-19' spread, which exacerbates the crises severity on this besieged area since 2007. This study aims to identify the preventive actions during the action effectiveness implemented by the Central Emergency Committee and the Ministry of Health to reduce the coronavirus spread in Gaza Strip. The researchers have followed the descriptive and the analytical methodology of the purposive sample responses data from the preventive medicine workers, the security team, and the members of the Central Emergency Committee.

Alterations of COX-2, HER-2/neu and E-Cadherin protein expression in the prostatic adenocarcinoma: preliminary findings.

Altered expression of the pro-inflammatory enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX)-2, E-Cadherin cell-cell adhesion protein and Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER-2/neu, a proto-oncogene) are involved in the pathogenesis of several cancers including the prostatic adenocarcinoma (PRCa). However, to date the results of the previous studies in this neoplasm are controversial, and the relationships among expression of these molecules in benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and PRCa are mostly unknown. Drug utilization in primary healthcare centres in the Gaza Strip.

This study was carried out to analyse drug-prescribing practices in primary healthcare centres (PHCs) in the Gaza Strip. We retrospectively evaluated 2569 prescriptions from 22 PHCs during January-December 2014. Systematic random sampling was applied.

Ultrastructural Changes of the Smooth Muscle in Esophageal Atresia.

Esophageal atresia (EA) with or without tracheo-esophageal fistula (TEF) is a relatively rare congenital anomaly. Despite the advances in the management techniques and neonatal intensive care, esophageal dysmotility remains a very common problem following EA/TEF repair. Our current study aimed to describe the most significant ultrastructural changes of the smooth muscle cells (SMCs) trying to highlight some of the underlying mechanisms of esophageal dysmotility following EA/TEF repair.
