Objective: This study explored the influence of the life course on mental health by identifying key trends, seminal works, and themes in existing research. Additionally, it highlights the major discussions at the intersection of life course and mental health.

Methods: Documents were extracted from the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC), to systematically analyze themes on mental health outcomes across the life course.

Measles is a highly infectious, vaccine-preventable viral disease that runs a devastating course in developing countries due to its association with malnutrition and poor immunization coverage. Subcutaneous emphysema (SE) is a rare complication of measles that can be challenging to manage and may portend poor outcomes if untreated. We present a case of a two-year-old unimmunized rural dweller who presented with facial, neck, and chest swellings three days after being managed for measles exanthem from a referral hospital.

First Clinical Nutrition Outpatient Consultation: A Review of Basic Principles in Nutritional Care of Adults with Hematologic Disease.

Methods: A bibliographic survey was carried out between 2020 and 2022 using two databases: PubMed/MEDLINE and Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO) and the information source Academic Google, irrespective of language or geography.

Results: In the first nutrition consultation (FNC), there should be an investigative direction focused on nutritional interventions in the short, medium, and long term. The record in the patient's medical record is relevant for carrying out the consultation, according to the recommendations of the normative councils of medicine and nutrition.

This study examined COVID-19 vaccine uptake among foreign migrants in China based on sociodemographics, cultural beliefs, past vaccine behaviors, and psychosocial factors.

Graves' Disease-Associated Dilated Cardiomyopathy Unmasked by Blunt Chest Trauma.

Graves' disease can manifest with numerous cardiovascular complications, although very few cases result in cardiomyopathy. Our patient presented following a motor vehicle accident where she suffered blunt chest trauma. Her initial presentation was concerning for acute heart failure due to blunt cardiac injury, with diffuse pulmonary edema, hemodynamic instability, and an acutely reduced ejection fraction with global hypokinesis on transthoracic echocardiography.

It is characterized by rapidly accumulating ascites that is often recurrent and resistant to standard treatment. The diagnosis typically requires the exclusion of common causes of ascites including possible hepatic, cardiac, malignant, and infectious etiologies.
