Background: Definite history is not always present in children with foreign body aspiration (FBA), hence necessitating a high index of suspicion.
Objective: To assess the predictive value of clinico-radiological variables among children presenting with features of suspected FBA and to document their course in a tertiary care teaching hospital.
Materials And Methods: In this retrospective observational study, we included children aged below 15 years presenting with clinical features of suspected FBA.
Objectives: No article on serum lipids in ankylosing spondylitis (AS) and control subjects has been reported from USA. The primary aim of this study was to determine if any difference occurred in serum lipid levels in AS and control rheumatic disorders in two time periods, 1978-98 and 2000-10. The secondary aim was to investigate variables associated with lipid levels and if a difference was found between AS and control disorders.

Anomaly detection is a security feature that identifies instances in which system behavior deviates from the expected norm, facilitating the prompt identification and resolution of anomalies. When AI and the IoT are combined, anomaly detection becomes more effective, enhancing the reliability, efficacy, and integrity of IoT systems.

Background: Primary EMPD is a rare entity associated with poorly defined surgical margins and difficult-to-access sites of lesions. Surgical resection with clear margins remains the preferred management method.
Benthic foraminifera are unicellular eukaryotic protists that construct an organic, agglutinated, or calcareous test wall. Although single-chambered (monothalamous) foraminifera are ubiquitous in marine habitats worldwide, they are poorly known compared to their multi-chambered relatives, notably from the tropical marine environments of India. In this study, we describe two new species of marine monothalamid genus Psammophaga Arnold, 1982, from the Rajapuri Creek, coastal Maharashtra, India (Arabian Sea).

Therefore, in the context of the recent COVID-19 pandemic, this study aimed to determine the correlation of cycle threshold (Ct) values with symptoms in COVID-19-positive patients.
Materials And Methods: A retrospective study was conducted in a virus research diagnostic laboratory (VRDL) at a COVID-19-dedicated tertiary care hospital in South India.

Neurological worsening following treatment with D-penicillamine is not uncommon. However, there is a paucity of Indian data on the incidence of neurological worsening in children and adolescents with WD following chelation therapy.

After the first report in Malaysia, the emerging CBLVd was detected in five citrus species, namely Citrofortunella microcarpa, Citrus aurantifolia, Citrus hystrix, Citrus maxima, and Citrus sinensis.
Methods And Results: CBLVd was detected in 23 out of 133 symptomatic samples through RT-PCR.
Gingival recession predisposes to functional and aesthetic concerns, for which many surgical procedures are available. Among these, till now subepithelial connective graft is considered as the gold standard technique for its higher predictability of achieving recession coverage. However, it does not heal by new attachment, thus many techniques to promote new attachment such as root biomodification are done.

The monodentate coordination of the heterocyclic pyrazolyl ligand (Pz) with Ru(II) ion via N atom was confirmed by single crystal X-ray diffraction. Complex 1 could be converted to the known η-bidentate Pz complex cis(Cl), cis(S)-[RuCl(Pz)(DMSO)] (4) under reflux conditions.

The current study analyses the association between HC at two years of age and cognition at two and five years of age.
Methods: A community based birth-cohort recruited between 2010 and 2012 was followed up till five years of age in an urban slum in Vellore, India.
Lung cancer is the leading type of cancer worldwide today. Kinases play a crucial role in mediating the signaling pathways, and it directs to control several necessary cellular processes. Conversely, the deregulation of tyrosine kinases leads to oncogenic conversion, uncontrolled cell proliferation and tumorigenesis.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFComprehensive genomic profiling is expected to revolutionize cancer therapy. c-Met signaling is responsible for tumorigenesis in various cancers. In this prospective, we present the prevalence of c-Met mutations and copy number alterations across various solid tumors.

Plants produce a wide variety of phytochemical constituents, which are secondary metabolites and are used either directly or indirectly in the pharmaceutical industry. 'For centuries, man has effectively used various components of plants or their extracts for the treatment of many diseases, including bacterial infections. In the present study methanol, chloroform and aqueous extracts of Cassia auriculata leaf were subjected for antimicrobial activity by well-diffusion method against six bacterial strains namely Bacillus cereus, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Proteus mirabilis.
