Background: Feature selection is a vital process in data mining and machine learning approaches by determining which characteristics, out of the available features, are most appropriate for categorization or knowledge representation. However, the challenging task is finding a chosen subset of elements from a given set of features to represent or extract knowledge from raw data. The number of features selected should be appropriately limited and substantial to prevent results from deviating from accuracy.

This study, presenting the largest series so far of patients undergoing eTME, aimed to assess the surgical and survival outcomes of patients following treatment with eTME and to compare these outcomes with historical data on pelvic exenteration.
Method: The study is a retrospective review of all patients with locally advanced rectal cancer requiring an eTME (2014-2020).
Background And Aims: The prevalence of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) has been rising in the younger population worldwide. To fully comprehend the effects of the condition, it is crucial to examine the evolving characteristics and treatment options. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the characteristics and treatment analysis for young ACS patients in a tertiary care setting.

Some patients demonstrate narrowing of the space between the ischial tuberosity and lesser trochanter from trauma or abnormal morphology of the quadratus femoris muscle. Combined clinical and imaging aid in the diagnosis.

The pathology of PCOS is complex and several mechanisms have been potentially involved in the genetic abnormalities/dysfunctions. Hence, the present study aims to examine the prevalence and association of polymorphisms in candidate genes (thyroid adenoma-associated gene [THADA], luteinizing hormone and human chorionic gonadotropin receptor [LHCGR], DENN domain containing 1A [DENND1A], follicle-stimulating hormone receptor [FSHR], Connexin37 [CX37], angiotensin-converting enzyme [ACE], insulin receptor [INSR] and calpain 10 [CAPN10]) in PCOS patients of the South Indian regional population.

The RIFP-FeONPs were evaluated by the UV-Visible Spectroscopy, FTIR, SEM, EDX, XRD, Zeta potentials, and DLS, and been engaged than for the elimination of Cr (VI) from the contaminated environments. At 269 nm, the RIFP-FeONPs surface plasmon vibration bands were observed, which attributed to the Fe.

Methods: A retrospective analysis of a prospectively maintained database of patients from May 2008 to December 2016. Demographic variables, perioperative outcomes, and survival were compared between two approaches.
Background And Aims: Metabolic abnormalities in T2DM (Type 2 diabetes mellitus) include classic manifestations such as impaired insulin secretion, synthesis and peripheral insulin resistance. The intronic variants rs7903146 and rs12255372 of the TCF7L2 (transcription factor 7-like 2) gene are strongly associated with risk of incidence of T2DM and impaired β-cell functions. Studies addressing the early T2DM onset, and early insulin dependence in T2DM patients of south Tamil Nadu are still lacking, and hence the present study focuses in determining the influence of the TCF7L2 polymorphisms in the incidence and disease course in the T2DM patients of south Tamil Nadu.

Laparoscopic surgery has advantages of less pain, faster post-operative recovery and better cosmesis. While the Sugarbaker technique has been valued for least recurrences, however, it exposes the stomal loop to the parietal surface of the mesh exposing it to complications.

Insecticides of botanical origin may serve as suitable natural control. This study evaluates the toxic potential of Ocimum canum (Sims) leaf extract and powder against Anopheles stephensi (Liston), Aedes aegypti (Lin) and Culex quinquefasciatus (Say) larval and adult mosquitoes.

The available drugs are not sufficiently efficacious in reducing cardiovascular risk and restoring normal glucose metabolism associated with type 2 diabetes as a mono- or a combination therapy. The present study examined the combined effects of an antihypertensive (S-Amlodipine) and an insulin-sensitizing agent, peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) agonists (Pioglitazone and Ragaglitazar), on cardiovascular risk factors in aged diabetic and insulin-resistant Zucker fa/fa rats.

The pyrazole ring is essentially planar [maximum deviation = 0.002 (2) Å] and forms dihedral angles of 4.

In fact, depending on the vacuum expectation value on one of the Aharony-Bergman-Jafferis-Maldacena scalars, a mass deformation parameter μ and the Chern-Simons level number k, our Abelianization prescription allows us to interpolate between the Abelian Higgs model with its usual multivortex solutions and a Ø(4) theory. We sketch a simple condensed matter model that reproduces all the salient features of the Abelianization.
