Literature is sparse regarding the management and long-term outcomes of breast cancer in patients with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS). Of the EDS subtypes, hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (hEDS) is associated with cardiovascular dysautonomia which manifests as spontaneous episodes of tachycardia and hypotension. Given this clinical autonomic system impact, hEDS is known to have significant intraoperative risk and postoperative complications.

Aims: To study the etiology, clinical profile, and short-term prognosis in AKI.
Purpose: Caveolin-1 is a membrane protein highly expressed in many tumors and plays an important role in tumor progression and metastasis. This review describes the structure of the Caveolin-1 protein and its pre-clinical and clinical significance, demonstrating that Caveolin-1 is a novel biomarker for radioresistance which has the promising potential to improve the clinical outcome of cancer patients undergoing radiation treatment.
Summary: Targeted radiation therapy has shown immense benefits for cancer treatment.

A genetic-based search for surface proteins of Streptococcus pneumoniae involved in adhesion identified a putative zinc metalloprotease (ZmpB). ZmpB shared high amino acid sequence similarities with IgA1 proteases of Gram-positive bacteria, but ZmpB had neither IgA1 nor IgA2 protease activity. Analysis of a family of surface-expressed proteins, the choline-binding proteins (Cbp's), in a zmpB-deficient mutant demonstrated a global loss of surface expression of CbpA, CbpE, CbpF and CbpJ.

The procedure involves digestion of the sample with potassium bisulphate and sulphuric acid, addition of hydrazine to reduce all antimony to Sb(III), reoxidation to Sb(V), extraction of the chloro-complex of antimony(V) with n-butyl acetate, and AAS analysis of the organic phase for antimony.
