The meningococcal serogroup B (MenB) protein vaccine, 4CMenB, combined with MenA, MenC, MenW and MenY polysaccharide-protein conjugates for a pentavalent MenABCWY vaccine, can potentially protect against most causative agents of invasive meningococcal disease worldwide. Two phase 2b, randomized, multicenter studies were conducted (NCT02212457, NCT02946385) to assess the immunogenicity and safety of the MenABCWY vaccine as well as antibody persistence and response to a booster dose 2 years after the last vaccination, compared to 4CMenB vaccination. Participants (10 - 18 years), randomized (3:3:2:2:2:2), received the 4-component 4CMenB vaccine according to a 0-2 month (M) schedule or MenABCWY according to a 0-2, 0-6, 0-2-6, 0-1, or 0-11 M schedule.

Background: CoV2 preS dTM is a stabilised pre-fusion spike protein vaccine produced in a baculovirus expression system being developed against SARS-CoV-2. We present interim safety and immunogenicity results of the first-in-human study of the CoV2 preS dTM vaccine with two different adjuvant formulations.

Background: Over the last decades, pertussis showed periodic increases in its incidence among adults, despite being a vaccine-preventable disease.

Methods: This phase III, multicenter, extension study (NCT00489970) was conducted in adults from the United States, followed at Year (Y) 5 and Y9 post-vaccination with a dose of reduced-antigen-content tetanus-diphtheria-acellular pertussis vaccine containing either 3 (Tdap-B group) or 5 pertussis components (Tdap-A group). Willing participants in Tdap groups and newly-recruited participants (Control group) received one Tdap-B dose at Y9.

Background: As compared with a standard-dose vaccine, a high-dose, trivalent, inactivated influenza vaccine (IIV3-HD) improves antibody responses to influenza among adults 65 years of age or older. This study evaluated whether IIV3-HD also improves protection against laboratory-confirmed influenza illness.

Methods: We conducted a phase IIIb-IV, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, active-controlled trial to compare IIV3-HD (60 μg of hemagglutinin per strain) with standard-dose trivalent, inactivated influenza vaccine (IIV3-SD [15 μg of hemagglutinin per strain]) in adults 65 years of age or older.
