Selenium and Copper as Biomarkers for Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension in Systemic Sclerosis.

Circulating selenoprotein P (SELENOP) constitutes an established biomarker of Se status. SELENOP concentrations are reduced in inflammation and severe disease. Recently, elevated SELENOP levels have been suggested as diagnostic marker and therapeutic target in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).

The Effectiveness of Reform in the Dental Health Systems of Transitional Countries: The Case of Montenegro Health Reform (pilot study).

Objective: The main objective of this research is to evaluate the influence of reform in the dental health care system in Montenegro on the oral hygiene awareness and health practices among children aged 11 to 14.

Materials And Method: The research was performed among public schoolchildren in Montenegro. Data was obtained by evaluating a structured questionnaire fulfilled by 300 children, aged between 11 and 14 years, at the beginning of reform in the dental health care system in 2009 (n = 150) and in 2018 (n = 150).

Comparing the precision of reproducibility of computer-aided occlusal design to conventional methods.

Purpose: Reconstruction of patients' dental occlusion should be performed to fulfill esthetic and functional demands. These applied restorations should be in harmony with the existing occlusion and should not have any negative effects on intraoral dynamics. The aim of this clinical study is to compare the accuracy of the occlusal design shaped by conventional Wax Up methods and computer-aided design (CAD) regarding their similarity to the natural tooth morphology.

Management of pain in TMD patients: Bio-oxidative ozone therapy versus occlusal splints.

Objective: To compare the effects of bio-oxidative ozone application with occlusal splints in temporomandibular disorder (TMD) patients with pain.

Methods: Forty participants were selected after the diagnosis of TMD and randomly divided into two groups: ozone group (OG, n = 20) and occlusal splint group (OCSG, n = 20). Ozone was applied to patients three times per week, for a total of six sessions.

Effect of high-frequency bio-oxidative ozone therapy for masticatory muscle pain: a double-blind randomised clinical trial.

To evaluate the effect of bio-oxidative ozone application at the points of greatest pain in patients with chronic masticatory muscle pain. A total number of 40 (40 women, with a mean age of 31·7) were selected after the diagnosis of myofacial pain dysfunction syndrome according to the Research Diagnostic Criteria for temporomandibular disorder (RDC/TMD). The patients were randomly divided into two groups: patients received the ozone therapy at the point of greatest pain, ozone group (OG; n = 20); patients received the sham ozone therapy at the point of greatest pain, placebo group (PG; n = 20).
