Aim: To investigate the outcomes of the simultaneous closure of bilateral cranial defects using custom-made three-dimensional (3D) titanium implants.

Material And Methods: Demographic data of 26 patients with bilateral cranial defects who underwent cranioplasty using the 3D custom-made titanium implants in our clinic between 2017 and 2022 were retrospectively reviewed. Data on the area of cranium defect, the time interval between last cranial surgery and cranioplasty, postoperative complications, etiology of the cranium defect, and hospitalization of the patient were statistically evaluated.

Background: The requirement of brain retraction and difficulty in distinguishing the tumor demarcation are challenging in conventional approaches to intra- and paraventricular malignant tumors (IV-PVMTs). Cavernous sinus (CS) lymphoma without paranasal sinuses involvement is extremely rare in pediatric population and remains a diagnostic challenge due to its similarity to other tumors located in this area. Background And Aims: We undertook this study to investigate the possible beneficial effects of combined hypothermia and hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) treatment in comparison with methylprednisolone in experimental spinal cord injury (SCI).

Methods: Forty eight male Wistar albino rats (200-250 g) were randomized into six groups; A (normothermic control group; only laminectomy), B (normothermic trauma group; laminectomy + spinal trauma), C (normothermic methylprednisolone group; laminectomy + spinal trauma + methylprednisolone treated), D (hypothermia group; laminectomy + spinal trauma + hypothermia treated); E (HBO group; laminectomy + spinal trauma + HBO therapy), F (hypothermia and HBO group; laminectomy + spinal trauma + hypothermia and HBO treated) each containing eight rats. Neurological assessments were performed 24 h after trauma and spinal cord tissue samples had been harvested for both biochemical and histopathological evaluation.
