Over the past few decades, VEGF-targeted antiangiogenic therapy for cancers has gained increasing attention. Nevertheless, there are still several limitations such as the potential resistance mechanisms arising in cancer cells against these therapies and their potential adverse effects. These limitations highlight the need for novel anti-angiogenesis molecules and better understanding of the mechanisms of tumor angiogenesis.

India authorized a new, inexpensive HPV vaccine in 2022; given anticipated vaccine expansion, we conducted a mixed-methods study exploring acceptability of HPV catch-up vaccination for young emerging adult women in rural Mysore, India.

Role of Social Support in Reducing the Severity of Menopausal Symptoms among Women Living in Rural Mysuru, Karnataka: An Analytical Cross-sectional Study.

Introduction: Menopause is an unspoken and unaddressed aspect of a women's life, surrounded by many myths and taboos within the Indian context. Oral Human Papillomavirus Infection among Smokeless Tobacco-using Tribal Women in Mysuru, India.

Smokeless tobacco (SLT) is consumed by more than 300 million people worldwide. Studies show high use among Indian indigenous women who are also at high risk for oral cancers. Both human papillomavirus infection (HPV) and SLT have been associated with oral cancer, this study examined the presence of high-risk HPV in oral samples collected from tribal smokeless tobacco users in Mysuru, India.

Present work numerically investigates the unsteady, three-dimensional simulation of blood flow in a cerebral aneurysm filled with SMP foam. Simulations are conducted on patient-specific geometries with realistic blood velocity waveform imposed at the inlet while SMP foam is treated as a porous medium.

Frailty, a state of decreased physiological reserve, is highly prevalent among elderly patients. Ascorbic acid (AA) is known to be an important antioxidant serving as a cofactor in collagen synthesis, and thus facilitates follicular growth in the ovary. Many studies have shown that AA is synthesized in the liver and transported to other organs including ovary, however, there is no direct evidence of ascorbic acid synthesis in the ovary. Hence, we examined the expression pattern of different proteins (SMP30/GNL and GULO) involved in the AA synthesis in pre-pubertal rat, which showed significant expression of these proteins, suggesting the synthesis of AA in the ovary.
