Aim: Bioceramic sealers are being used as obturation materials as they are known for hard tissue induction and facilitating periapical healing. Based on some studies, one can hypothesize that mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) and biodentine used as the sole obturating material could reinforce the tooth and provide a better sealability than an MTA/biodentine apical plug with gutta-percha obturation. However, there are not many high-quality studies regarding outcomes of complete MTA/biodentine obturations compared with traditional obturation methods.

This study aimed to assess the antibiofilm efficiency of calcium hydroxide modified with Ag and Cu NP suspension against , using confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) and colony forming units (CFU) analysis.
Methods: Dentine blocks were inoculated with Enterococcus faecalis for one week and 1 week-old biofilm of were randomly divided into 4 groups, control, calcium hydroxide, calcium hydroxide +2 % Cu NP and calcium hydroxide +2 % Ag NP.
Aim: To assess the coronal and apical microleakage of mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA), Biodentine, and Bioceramic putty when used as coronal and apical seals in endodontically treated teeth.
Materials And Methods: The study was conducted on 90 mandibular premolar teeth. The groups were divided into two subgroups.
Depression and decreased quality of life (QoL) develop in approximately 30% of nondepressed hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) recipients early after transplantation. To potentially prevent this complication, we conducted a prospective randomized trial to assess whether prophylaxis of nondepressed HSCT patients with the antidepressant sertraline (SER) in addition to supportive psychotherapy starting at admission for transplantation decreases the risk of depression and improves QoL. The primary objective of the study was to evaluate whether there was an added benefit of SER versus placebo along with routine supportive psychotherapy on the development of depression in patients receiving HSCT.

Materials And Methods: Crowns of the eighty human mandibular teeth were decapitated. Working length determination was performed, after which cleaning and shaping were carried out.
Aim: The aim of this study was to compare push-out bond strength of root canal spaces filled with AH-Plus and BioRoot RCS after using different irrigants.
Materials And Methods: Eighty single-rooted teeth were decoronated and endodontically treated by crown-down technique using ProTaper Universal rotary files progressively till F4 (40/0.06).

The complete and three-dimensional fluid tight seal of the root canal system is the final component of the endodontic triad. The long-standing and closest material which has fulfilled this criterion is gutta-percha (GP). Several materials have been tried and tested as an endodontic filling material, of which GP has been most extensively used for years and has established itself as a gold standard.

Sleep disorders are thought to play a prominent role in the etiology and symptomatic management of FM, specifically obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). In order to provide collaborative care, we need a better understanding of any overlapping presentation of FM and OSA.

This article describes medical students' experience of mini-clinical evaluation exercise (mini-CEX) during their clerkship in consultation psychiatry.
Materials And Methods: In our center during inpatient consultation psychiatry clerkship, all rotating students are expected to complete one mini-CEX assessment as part of their clinical training.
Background: Complete removal of old filling material during root canal retreatment is fundamental for predictable cleaning and shaping of canal anatomy. Most of the retreatment methods tested in earlier studies have shown inability to achieve complete removal of root canal filling. Therefore the aim of this investigation was to assess the efficacy of three different rotary nickel titanium retreatment systems and Hedstrom files in removing filling material from root canals.

Very few studies concerning the dating of SDH are present in the literature.
Aim: This study was conducted for dating the early subdural haemorrhage by routine histopathological stains.
Molar incisor hypomineralization (MIH) is a developmental defect affecting teeth. High prevalence rates of MIH and its clinical implications are significant for both the patients and clinicians. A wide variation in defect prevalence (2.

Background: Takayasu's arteritis is a chronic inflammatory vasculitis affecting the aorta and its major branches. Although it is more prevalent in Asia, the distribution of the disease is worldwide with different vascular involvement patterns and clinical manifestations.
Introduction: Determination of post-traumatic interval remains one of the foremost important goals of any forensic investigation related to human crimes. The estimation of time since injury in cases of subdural haemorrhage has been studied only by a few investigators on the histological and radiological front.
Aim: The purpose of this study was to determine the post-traumatic interval of Subdural Haemorrhage (SDH) based on Hounsfield Unit measurements (HU) on Computed Tomography (CT) in surviving victims of head injury.
Assault on pregnant women is not a rare event; however forensic analysis of gunshot injuries among the same group requires a greater deliberation. This is the report of a 38-week-old fetus which succumbed following gunshot injuries to the mother while the latter survived. The uniqueness of fetal injuries in the form of avulsed wound with complete detachment of anus is of great forensic interest.

This paper proposes a deterministic explanation for mutual-information-based image registration (MI registration). The explanation is that MI registration works because it aligns certain image partitions. This notion of aligning partitions is new, and is shown to be related to Schur- and quasi-convexity.

This paper addresses the question of whether, and with what algorithm, the three-dimensional principal components can be directly recovered from cryo-EM images. The first part of the paper extends the Fourier slice theorem to covariance functions showing that the three-dimensional covariance, and hence the principal components, of a heterogeneous particle can indeed be recovered from two-dimensional cryo-EM images.

Method: We used data from the 24,182 adults aged ≥ 18 years who participated in the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey during 2005-2012. A cross-sectional analysis was performed at each time period to determine prevalence of major and other depression as assessed by standardized questionnaires based on 9 criteria for major depressive episodes defined by DSM-IV.
Type 2 diabetes (T2D) patients are twice as likely to experience depressive symptoms than people without T2D, resulting in greater economic burden, worse clinical outcomes, and reduced quality of life. Several overlapping pathophysiological processes including hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis hyperactivity, sympathetic nervous system activation, and elevated pro-inflammatory biomarkers are recognized as playing a role between T2D and depressive symptoms. However, other neurobiological mechanisms that may help to further link these comorbidities have not been extensively reviewed.

In both cases, initially the fractured crown fragments were extracted which was followed by pulpectomy and placement of fiber posts luted with resin cement. The fractured fragments were then reattached to the respective teeth using resin cement.
