Traditional observational studies have reported a positive association between constipation and the risk of colorectal cancer (CRC). However, evidence from other approaches to pursue the causal relationship between constipation and CRC is scarce. In the study, 2-sample Mendelian randomization analysis was conducted to investigate the potential causal relationship between constipation and CRC.
