Sustainable development goal seven aims to provide access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all by 2030, but its progress and energy stacking conditions have not been evaluated. This study aims to assess the urban household energy profile and link its state to sustainable development goals. This study employs a cross-sectional study design on 265 households selected by systematic random sampling from a town called Jimma in Ethiopia and collects the data using interview-based semi-structured questionnaires.

Acute respiratory infection is the most common cause of under-five morbidity and mortality accounting for 2 million deaths worldwide and responsible for 18% of deaths among under-five children in Ethiopia. Although studies were done on acute respiratory infections, the majority of studies neither clinically diagnose respiratory infections nor use instant measurement of particulate matter.

Introduction: Biomedical waste is a hazardous waste material that is generated during the diagnosis, treatment, or immunization of human beings. Hence, it needs special attention and appropriate management before disposal.
Objective: This study aimed to assess the biomedical solid waste management system in Jimma Medical Center, Jimma town, southwestern Ethiopia, 2020.
Background: Cosmetic products emits Total Volatile Organic Compound (TVOC) and Particulate Matter with an aerodynamic diameter of 10 micrometers (PM) of different sizes and characteristics with adverse health effects. Despite the increasing need for cosmetic products, related pollutants level of concentration from beauty salon is not well understood in developing countries.
Objective: This study aims to assess indoor air pollutant concentrations in the beauty salon and self-reported health problems among the salon workers in Jimma town.
