Background: Despite the outstanding measles vaccine coverage (MVC) in Eritrea, sporadic outbreaks are not uncommon. Therefore, understanding the incidence of laboratory-confirmed measles virus cases, related factors, and spatial inequalities in testing and surveillance remains crucial. In this analysis, we evaluated the incidence and spatiotemporal distribution of measles in Eritrea.

To address this, we examined drug-taking and drug-seeking in male and female rats under conditions where cocaine infusions were paired with foot shock punishment 50% of the time and combined this paradigm with cFos immunohistochemistry.

Background: Doping includes tampering, possession; trafficking; administration, assisting, encouraging, aiding, conspiring a prohibited substance, and an anti-doping rule violation. Doping in sports is increasing and diversifying involving physiological, mechanical, and pharmacological techniques and becoming a serious public health problem. Pharmacy professionals have a vital role in the fight against doping.

Substance use patterns of HVTN phase I clinical trial participants: Enrollment, risk reduction counseling and retention.

Background: The primary objectives of HIV Vaccine Trials Network (HVTN) phase 1 preventive HIV vaccine clinical trials are to assess safety and immune response to study products. Participant alcohol and drug use may affect adherence, retention, and risk of HIV infection. Data on the effects of substance use are limited to medical care compliance and treatment adherence in HIV infected participants.
