Background: In recent years, lead-induced tricuspid regurgitation (LITR) has attracted increasing attention. At present, there are two commonly used transvalvular methods for pacing lead wires to enter the right ventricle. The first transvalvular approach involves placing the tip of the pacing lead directly through the tricuspid valve into the right ventricle, including "direct-crossing" and "drop-down.

We aimed to analyze the epidemiological characteristics of mushroom poisoning and study the correlation between its cases and meteorological factors in Guizhou Province.

Aim: The aim of this study is to evaluate the association between serum sodium concentrations at hospital admission and all-cause mortality within 365 days post-discharge in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) without heart failure (HF).
Methods: The prospective cohort study enrolled 1,446 patients with AF without HF between November 2018 and October 2020. A follow-up was performed 30, 90, 180, and 365 days after enrollment through outpatient visits or telephone interviews.

With the continuous updating of head and neck surgery concepts and techniques, more and more head and neck surgeries are developing in the direction of refinement.however, the more complete the surgery, the greater the possibility of subsequent nerve exposure and injury. Even a slight perturbation of the nerve may cause serious complications, such as pressure receptor failure.

At present, out-of-hospital monitoring of patients with heart failure is mostly based on the patient's symptoms and signs, and the use of non-invasive technology is scarce. In this study, a non-invasive ballistocardiography (BCG) device was used to collect thoracic vibration signals generated by heartbeat.

This study sought to develop an ML model that captures important variables in order to predict all-cause mortality in AF patients. In this single center prospective study, an ML-based mortality prediction model was developed and validated using a dataset of 2,012 patients who experienced AF from November 2018 to February 2020 at the First Affiliated Hospital of Shantou University Medical College.

S100A8/A9 plays an important role in thrombosis through modulating the inflammatory response. This observational study aimed to reveal the association between S100A8/A9 and VLST.

Patient Concerns: A 65-year-old man presented with sweating and a 3-h abrupt persistent back pain that radiated to the anterior.
We aimed to derive and validate an effective risk score to identify high-risk patients of very late stent thrombosis (VLST), following percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Stepwise multivariable Cox regression was used to build the risk model using data from 5,185 consecutive ACS patients treated with PCI (derivation cohort) and 2,058 patients from the external validation cohort. Eight variables were independently associated with the development of VLST: history of diabetes mellitus, previous PCI, acute myocardial infarction as admitting diagnosis, estimated glomerular filtration rate <90 ml/min/1.

In order to clarify this association, we performed a meta-analysis of case-control studies with available data. PubMed, EMBASE and BIOSIS Previews were comprehensively searched to identify relevant studies.

PubMed, BIOSIS Previews and EBSCOhost were searched, and data were extracted independently by two reviewers. Odds ratios (ORs) with corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were used to assess the strength of the associations.

Methods And Results: We performed a systematic review of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) comparing treatment with nicorandil prior to reperfusion therapy with control (placebo or no nicorandil) in patients who suffered from AMI and performed primary PCI. PubMed, EMBASE and CENTRAL databases and other sources were searched without language and publication restriction.

Objectives: Tachycardia-induced cardiomyopathy (TCM) is a reversible cause of heart failure. Little is known of the characteristics of tachycardia associated with the development of left ventricular (LV) dysfunction and the reversal of cardiomyopathy after cure of tachycardia. This study aimed to examine the reversal of cardiomyopathy in patients undergoing ablation with congestive heart failure secondary to tachycardia.
