Background: Pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate (PDTC) is an efficient, reproducible, and biological antioxidant of clinical utility, which may also be preferred for obtaining human dental pulp stem cells (hDPSCs) for the purpose of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.
Aim And Objectives: The study was conducted to evaluate the effects of PDTC on the propagation and differentiation of hDPSCs.
Materials And Methods: hDPSCs were isolated by explant culture method and characterized for stem cell properties using flow cytometry method.
Cysteine (Cys) detection is recognized as an essential element in this investigation due to the critical function of Cys in several physiological processes in living organisms. A new NIR fluorescent probe SNC-Cys has been synthesized by incorporating a five-membered malononitrile derivatized ring as an electron withdrawing group, and a methacryloyl group detection moiety for cysteine. After adding Cys, SNC-Cys shows an emission of 654 nm and further works as a "Turn-on" probe via ICT photomechanism.

Materials And Methods: Dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs) were extracted from 10 human teeth. They were isolated and cultivated in vitro with the use of stem cell markers.
Background: The world of esthetic dentistry is constantly making efforts toward the management of tooth staining. Laser-assisted bleaching is needed before adhesive restorations and has become common and advantageous as it accelerates bleaching action, reduces postoperative sensitivity, and promotes recrystallization of enamel.
Aim: The study aimed to evaluate and compare the bond strength of diode (Biolace: EpicX) and neodymium-doped:yttrium aluminum garnet (Nd:YAG) (LightWalker, Fotona, Slovenia) assisted bleached (Pola Office, SDI) enamel with nanofilled composite (GC Solare Sculpt).
Introduction: Non-carious cervical lesions (NCCL) raise a considerable restorative challenge for the dentist in bonding, as adhesion is not as strong and predictable as enamel bonding. A critical factor for restorative success is the selection of restorative material. Clinicians have tried many restorative materials and techniques to obtain the best performance.

These along with blood act as contaminants and hamper the bonding mechanism. Collagen cross-linkers (CCLs) are agents known to increase the bond strength (BS) to dentin.

Furthermore, an essential requirement for the longevity and strength of an endodontically treated tooth and its ability to resist fracture is the preservation of residual dentin thickness during instrumentation. The aim of this study was to compare the amount of debris extrusion, remaining dentin thickness at the coronal third, middle third, apical third, and the fracture resistance of the teeth using rotary (TruNatomy; Dentsply Sirona, Charlotte, NC) and reciprocating (WaveOne Gold; Dentsply Sirona) endodontic file systems.

This study investigated the evolution of the shortest apposition length (SAL) post-EVAR and hypothesised that a declining apposition during follow-up may be an indicator of T1aEL development. Patients with a late T1aEL were selected from a consecutive multicentre database.

The marine ecosystem around the Island of Newfoundland is contaminated by thyroid disrupting chemicals (TDCs). Coastal inhabitants may be exposed to TDCs through consumption of contaminated local seafood products and affecting thyroid functions. The aim of this study was to explore: (1) consumption frequency of local seafood products consumed by rural residents, (2) thyroid hormones (THs) and TDCs concentrations in residents, (3) relationships between local seafood consumption, TDC concentrations, and THs.

The fracture extent determines the appropriate treatment plan for the patient. Crown fractures can be treated aesthetically without the invasion of the biological width with meticulous interdisciplinary management.

This study investigates the value of endograft apposition and position relative to the aortic neck on the first postoperative computed tomography angiography (CTA) in determining patients at risk for a late type Ia endoleak (T1aEL).
Materials And Methods: Patients with a T1aEL after the first postoperative CTA were selected from a consecutive database and matched with uncomplicated controls.
Objective: The Observing a Decade of Yearly Standardised Surveillance in EVAR patients with Ultrasound or CT Scan (ODYSSEUS) study was conducted to assess differences in outcomes of patients with continued or discontinued yearly follow up after endovascular abdominal aortic aneurysm repair (EVAR). Earlier results of this study showed that discontinued follow up was not associated with poor outcomes. Therefore, an incremental cost analysis and budget impact analysis of de-implementation of yearly imaging following EVAR was performed.

The transforming growth factor-beta (TGFβ) is believed to be a major driver of extracellular matrix production. Nevertheless, anti-TGFβ therapies have consistently failed to reduce extracellular matrix production in CKD patients indicating the need for novel therapeutic strategies.
