Objectives: To explore the Malaysian dental therapists' perceptions regarding the provisions concerning them in the new dental act and potential market changes, considering their current career motivations and expectations.
Methods: Dental therapists from two major public dental organisations in the East-Peninsular Malaysia (n = 26) were invited to participate in an audiotaped semi-structured interview using a pre-tested topic-guide informed by workforce policy and research literature. The qualitative data were transcribed and analysed using Framework Analysis.
Statement Of Problem: Denture wearers are susceptible to diseases related to denture hygiene and are more prone to develop systemic disease because of poor understanding and awareness of the impact of edentulism on general health.
Purpose: The purpose of this clinical study was to evaluate the effectiveness of traditional chairside practice and WhatsApp in improving patient knowledge of denture care and their awareness of the impact of edentulism on general health.
Material And Methods: Sixty-two participants who attended the Polyclinic Kulliyyah of Dentistry, IIUM Kuantan in 2022 for removable prosthesis fabrication were recruited.
Objectives: Public dentists interested in postgraduate studies were required to complete clinical attachments at the Malaysian Ministry of Health (MOH) Dental Specialist Clinic (DSC). This cross-sectional quantitative study aimed to explore career satisfaction (CS) and barriers perceived by Malaysian dentists at Malaysia's MOH DSC.
Methods: A total of 208 dentists from DSC nationwide completed an online questionnaire in June 2022.
Objective: To assess Malaysian dental therapists' job satisfaction, motivation, turnover intention and perceived future roles, following recent changes in the regulations that allow them to provide dental care within their scope of practice in the private sector.
Methods: A self-administered questionnaire was distributed to public dental therapists who were selected using a stratified random sampling technique. Questions included items on social structure, job satisfaction and motivation (based on the Warr-Cook-Wall scale), turnover intention (based on four cognitive processes) and perceived future roles.
Objective: The dental workforce is facing unprecedented change globally as a result of multiple influences. There is a need for research informed action to map possible drivers for change at the national level and examine their potential implications in order to shape the dental workforce to serve population needs. The objective of this study was to explore key stakeholders' views on the drivers for change for the Malaysian dental workforce and their potential implications.

Introduction: Malaysia has experienced a significant expansion of dental schools over the past decade. Research into students' motivation may inform recruitment and retention of the future dental workforce. The objectives of this study were to explore students' motivation to study dentistry and whether that motivation varied by students' and school characteristics.
